Michael Jackson.........does he really DESERVE to rest in PEACE??? That creature released 3 good albums, so the world of music owed him for that...but how many young boys paid for his talent? Good Riddance, Michael.....rest in pieces!!!

Jackson was one creepy dude. Sorry if I can't feel any remorse for his passing. I'm sure a lot of kids and moms will sleep better tonight. I did like Captain EO, though.

You're probably correct, but it will never be admitted. Or...all the bleach finally got to his heart. Clorox was made for clothing, not skin.

What really creeped me out were all the people flocking at the hospital shouting "We love you Michael", even though they knew he was dead!! I'm afraid his grave site will become an even bigger shrine than Elvis'.

Farrah, on the other hand, was one courageous and truly beautiful woman. From all accounts, she was just as nice as she was pretty, and never let it go to her head.

Isn't it ridiculous the way the media is covering this Michael Jackson thing.
I mean you'd think it was the president. We need this continuous coverage on all the cable channels..and then these tributes last night on the big three.
I do feel badly for his family..the brother seemed genuinely greif stricken..other than that...can we move on. HOW many tributes are we gonna have to this guy.
I think he was so anorexic his heart gave out.

As far as Farah....let me be the first to say..Ryan O'Neil...I'm sorry but he is such a ham. The Barbara Walters thing..just kind of creeped me out. There's something not right with that guy..and that's why she never married him. I'm not saying she didn't love the guy..but she knew what she was doing by not marrying him.
Not exactly father of year either.

For the person who said only 3 good albums, I guess selling 750 MILLION records doesn't account for anything. Honestly, none of us know the truth about what really happened with the accusations but he was found not guilty on all charges. I am not saying he wasn't strange he was indeed. But he also didn't have a normal childhood like most of us were blessed to have had. He has performed since he was 6 years old and you can not deny his talent during his prime. From a disney board, I would expect a little more respect for his children and family. God rest his soul and Farrah's...

You don't know this board well enough to judge. All opinions are welcome. You will find we can differ with one another, and agree to disagree when need be. This may be one of those times for you. I believe it has been expressed (at least by myself) that there is sympathy for his greif stricken family...as there would be for anyone's family that has suffered a loss.

Who's judging certainly not me. I was referring to the tacky comments about 5 year old boys that were in the previous posts not the posts that did express sympathy for his family. I just find it a little disturbing to make those kind of jokes this soon after his death. But yes it is my opinion and I have never been hesitant to express it. FYI, I have been reading/researching these boards for a couple of years now....

I wasn't trying to chastize. I was trying to express my opinion no matter how unpopular it may be. I guess I am the only one to speak up about how offensive some of the posts were. I know that they were just trying to be funny but some of us do not find it funny. Not at this hour or time when so many are grieving.

I have to admit, when I found out about MJ's death yesterday the first thing I did was come here hoping to commiserate with other children of the late '70s/early '80s who might have been shocked by the suddenness of his death and to share some fond recollections of those times and that music. I was taken-aback by the rot-in-hell type messages and left more sad than when I came in. For me the music is about my memories and about where I was in life then, and has nothing to do with the artist. Ok, it has little to do with the artist... I still don't know if I'm supposed to like George Michael's I Want Your Sex 'cause I don't know if he's talking to me or my date! LOL I will continue to enjoy 2-1/2 of MJ's records (Bad being the 1/2) and several songs from the Five, and will continue to try to divorce the music from the weirdness of the 'man'. As for his state now, I can not bring myself to wish hell on anybody and pray that he found what he did not deserve(Rom 3:10ff), the grace of God sufficient to cover a life filled with sin (Rom 14:23, everything done apart from faith is sin).
