RIP Steve Jobs

Arguably, one of the two greatest minds and visionaries in our industry. He will be missed... by all of us.

It would be hard to imagine life now without iPhone, iTunes, iPad, Apple TV, a computer that is virtually problem free and Pixar flicks. Thanks, Steve, for making life better in a lot of small but important ways. RIP.

He knew it was coming, and we felt it coming, but it's still a shock. :sad1:

Wish he had more time with his family.

Wasn't he on the DVC Board of Trustees or Disney Trustees??

Such a legacy he leaves... Hope he remains an inspiration to everyone forever. His inspiration to digital screening was like no other.

He was on Disney Board of Directors and with selling Pixar to Disney it made him the largest shareholder I believe.

I hadn't known about the Pixar connection before. RIP.:littleangel:

An independent thinker and a visionary leader. On top of that, he was driven to realize his goals and make a positive impact. He lives in his family, friendss, coworkers and all of the millions who have watched a Pixar movie or purchased an Apple product.

All Pixar fans..or Disney fans for that matter, should read The Pixar Touch. We have alot more than Apple to thank Steve Jobs for. How sad his life was cut so short when he had so much to give..like Walt Disney and Jim Henson...very sad.

There are similarities between Jobs and Disney. Both meant so much to their companies. I wonder if Steve Jobs inspiration will be as strong as Walts on the future company.

Jobs owned 4 seperate technological evolutions:
- Computers, Ipads
- Music (Ipods and Itunes)
- Movies (Pixar)
- Phones (Iphones)

Most great people make a mint off of just one. He had at least 4.

Disney had at least 2: theme parks and movies

RIP Steve Jobs...you have impacted our lives in such a positive way. From home computers to idods to pixar to disney...you have touched us all.

Thank You :lovestruc

Every time I ride Spaceship Earth I think of Steve Jobs when I see the guy building a computer in his garage. But now I'll be a little sad knowing he's gone. He's really made an impact on this world and he'll be missed.

Ok so what does this have to do with DVC.

He was on the board of directors of DVC's ultimate parent company.
He brought Pixar to Disney, along with hundreds of millions of dollars in profits, enabling Disney to fund new DVC resorts, among other things.
Many people posting on this thread are doing so on an Idevice. I'm one.

Mainly, a lot of DVCers would like to pay their respects in a small way to brilliant entrepreneur, innovator and visionary.
:surfweb: Today, that's a Mac.
:happytv: I thought Toy Story was that funny too.
