I'm pretty prone to motion sickness, even if I take Dramamine. Do you think I should avoid Rip Ride Rockit. The only thing that makes me want to ride it is listening to Mötley Crüe :)

I suffer from motion sickness, though not as bad as you. I can take dramamine and ride it with no problems. I'm affected more by Hulk and Dragon Challenge. You never go upside down on RRR, but it does tilt and jostle you a bit. It's really hard to say. My suggestion would be to check out youtube and see of there's a point of view (POV) video you could watch. You'll be able to judge better that way, I think.

RRR is more painful to the head than the stomach, IMO.

Motion sickness is more a byproduct of simulator rides and not roller coasters. If you can handle other thrill coasters, you should be able to handle HRRR--though the straight-up lift hill can be unnerving.

I completely agree.::yes:: Especially at night - I don't know if the heat and oil drips from the coaster make the track faster?????

Totally true. :thumbsup2

I have pretty significant motion sickness and coasters do not make me sick at all. I can't do The Simpsons at all. I also get queasy in Cat in the Hat in the back seat. Also if I do MIB more than a few times in a row I get queasy.

Any ride that circles repetitively is no good for me, if you are the same you should be fine with coasters. I get car sick too.

I would second the post about hurting your head... My girlfriend and I rode every ride at Sea World, Universal Studios, and Islands of Adventure multiple times this past week...except for Rip Ride Rockit which we rode once. This ride HURT. I looked over at my girlfriend after the first 10 seconds or so and saw an incredibly painful look on her face. I asked her if she was okay and she told me no. Their was not one moment where we were not jolted about and experienced repeated hits to our heads.

Also, the video after the ride was broken, so even if we had ended up liking the ride, we couldn't have taken advantage of that feature anyway.

But yeah, we didn't like this one at all. We are roller coaster enthusiasts and have rode basically everything. The only ride we could recall that hurt as much as Rip Ride Rockit was Ninja at Six Flags.
