When we visited March 31 / April 1, RRnR was having technical fits. We heard it had broken down at 2 pm the prior day. That led to a late opening on the 31st. By the time we say it was running the line was up to 120 minutes.
On the 1st Universal opened the park early. We headed straight to the line that was forming, where we waited for roughly 90 minutes before the mechanics gave the ride ops the green light. We were on the 3rd train; they were cycling only about one train every 5 minutes - very slow operation!
By the time we got off the ride, the queue board was indicating a 90 minute wait.
Theme park news site Screamscape reported that the problems are related to 'valleying' - a train didn't make it over the loop, but fell back into the section between the lift and loop.
The problems with this ride don't seem to end. I hope they fix it soon, as we enjoyed our ride. I doubt I'd wait more than 30 minutes for another ride, but the audio system is excellent and as far as I know the only one of its kind.
