Actor Howard Hesseman, best known for playing DJ Dr. Johnny Fever on “WKRP in Cincinnati”, has passed at age 81. I loved that show; he was great.

Honestly, I know him more from the first few seasons of Head of the Class. WKRP was a little before my time (I was 5 when it went off the air)

I was sorry to see this one. I was a kid when WKRP was on, but I loved the show, and I have the complete series on DVD. I also enjoyed Head of the Class and his season on One Day at a Time. RIP

Very sad to hear about this when the news broke. People who weren't around at the time probably don't know how big Johnny Fever was when WKRP was on the air. Howard Hesseman was a pretty big deal for those years.
