Was at the Elvis Costello show tonight, talked quite a bit about him. Was very touching he seened to really love him. He played Baby It’s You in memory of him.

The interesting thing about Bacharach is though he was often dismissed for producing very "light" songs, the composition of most of them was really musically complex. Most Bacharach songs are notoriously difficult to sing.

Thank you so much! What a fantastic rendition. I don't love the slower melodic versions - even caught a Bacharach go at it - but that one was great.

1994? 95? Walking the streets of Sendai, Japan - looked up and Mr. Costello was playing this small venue. I just stared and stared. Knew it would be impossible to get out of work, unlike here. Even sick was not an easy out.

Big regret! Huge.

I am acting like the man doesn't walk the earth anymore. Smiling. I must see him live.

When my Spotify goes "She's filing her nails as they're dragging the lake" I smile every time.
