Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

I "yummed" too without a doubt!!!

Chelsea has the middle pair of earrings -- the big hoops with all the Mickey heads. They are very cute! I think she needs the Tink hoodie to go with them! Or maybe if it comes in my size, I need them, too!

Bella looks so happy to be surrounded by her Nemo friends! :goodvibes

Hey MeMom!!!

Ugh, I have been a bad DIS friend....I have pages behind in everyone's reports, and in mine as well - but I plan on doing some major catching-up this weekend - off to read the last few pages of yours! :thumbsup2

Have a great weekend!!!!

Not a bad DIS friend at all...just a happy with her job friend. I am happy it is working out for you. Hope you enjoy catching up with us. :goodvibes

A big old blueberry or chocolate chip muffin would be a nice Saturday morning treat. :)

I looked at those earrings, but I am more of a small to medium earring person. I did like them, and I may end up getting them sometime, since that is the only jewelry I wear.

Soul talk time again. I hope you can stand me for the next few days.

I went to the grocery store just a little while ago, and I teared up just knowing I wouldn't be feeding a monster-sized appetite this week. One gallon of milk is going to last. I don't need three loaves of bread and a big bunch of bananas. The one pack of ham will be more than enough for Drew. No turkey bacon found its way into my cart. Chicken sales in Tennessee will drop dramatically this week.

It's going to be different. :sad2:

I will spend the money I am not using for his food on a plane ticket or gas eventually. :)

I am so happy that he and Jamie are going to get to meet Anita and Marc later in the week. Trent has a three day workshop right away in Tampa, so he'll get to Orlando and only have two nights before he leave for three days. We're hoping he'll get back in time to meet with them Thursday night maybe for a late dinner, but if not, then sometime Friday or Saturday. I am as excited about their meet as they are! :cool1:

I know the tears will flow off and on, and you guys have to take responsibility for part of that. You were all so doggone nice that I ended up falling in love with the DIS Boards, and as time went on, that lead to this day. Isn't it something how Jamie's mom just saw Trent and thought they'd make a good match and told her she should become FB friends with him? They started talking in November, and they hit it off very well. Through their visits back and forth, they have grown to be crazy about each other. Their job situations fell right into place, too. A mom couldn't want more for her son than for him to have happiness with his work and his relationships as he goes about this life's journey on his way to heaven. :)

I am crying tears mixed with happiness and sadness, of course, but I am so excited for this new adventure for Trent. I know our trips will be so much more exciting now, too, and his trips home will be awesome. He's got buddies that will be going down to see him, too, and he'll be making new friends, as well. Jamie's family has been and will be good to him, I know.

This morning, I know I have no right to cry, because a friend if mine at church is saying goodbye to her brother right now in a very different way. He has been sent home with Hospice care to live out his last days. My tears can surely not compare to hers. She is so, so sad, yet she knows that he is moving on to a place where cancer will not ravage his body and make him sick and weak and worn. She knows she will see him again someday in a perfect way, as will his wife and children.

Keep us all in your thoughts and prayers this weekend. Pray for Cindy's family as they watch their son/brother/husband/father/uncle leave this life. Pray for us as we say a big, sloppy, happy 'See ya real soon!' to our Bubby! :) Thank you all for your very special friendships with us. We count you all among our treasured blessings. :)

MeMom our thoughts and prayers will be with you this weekend and next week. The money you save on food can go directly into a Disney/see Trent account and the visits will be closer together. For now you have Bella's birthday with Pooh and Tigger to plan and a special Mother's Day to look forward to celebrate. At this time I am sending :grouphug: and pixiedust:

As hard as it is to have him going so far away, it much better than appearing on an eppisode of Dr. Phil when he is 40 and still in the basement and playing video games. So what I'm saying is you raised him up right MeMom be proud of that boy of yours! Rejoice!

We have lots to look forward to. The birthday planning has got to get into gear! We have the May trip and the summer trip and hopefully an October trip and Thanksgiving or Christmas trip.

MeMom, lots and lots of hugs and prayers for you this weekend! I know it can't be easy to send your boy off to Florida.

It's not, but it's under all good circumstances, so after the goodbyes, it will be okay.

Couldn't be prouder!!! :thumbsup2

And you know for sure I wouldn't want to be on Dr. Phil. I'd be the person behind the screen where you could only see the shadow and hear a distorted voice.

MeMom, your last post had me tearing up as well with lots of memories of my grammy, who too had cancer and made the choice to go home with hospice care instead of staying in the hospital. I will surely be praying for your friend this weekend.

Alexia wants to say hi.

Sending lots of prayers and virtual hugs your way!

Thanks! I'm going to reclaim my living room. He's been using it as a bedroom since it is big. We have the big den that we use as a family room. One day down the road, I want to tear down the wall between it and the kitchen and make a big open room, but for now, my money will be spent on traveling to Alabama and Florida.

I have kind of a funny story about that...pretty early on in Charles's and my relationship, we were at my house watching something like "Unsolved Mysteries" with my mom, and the guy they were talking to was in shadow and had a weird voice. I listened to him for a minute, and finally said, "that guy has a really weird voice." Charles snickered and then just busted out laughing, and my mom said, "Meg...that's not his real voice. They're disguising it." Charles and I have been dating for almost four years now and whenever I get confused over something or say something silly (or have what is known to my family as a "Meghan moment"), he'll say, "wow, that guy has a really weird voice!"

I think the goodbyes are the hardest. Thinking of you!

Awww.....group hug! :grouphug:

I am so happy to have met you on here, you are an amazing Mom and your words are so touching.

I hope us (your friends) can help you, support you, make you laugh and remind you of all the countless blessings you have.

I will pray for your friend and her family as I know that pain and sadness all too well.

I do believe this is a wonderful time for Trent and we all should celebrate his good fortune! He is persuing his dreams and that's all we could want as Mothers!

We are here and if you feel the need to tear up, so be it.....remember the fun times are just around the corner.

 Lana

Just stick that extra food money in a special "Trent" fund and you'll save up little by little to see him in no time. Have a wonderful weekend with the people you love the most MeMom. I'll pray for your friend Cindy and I'll also pray for you as you say goodbye to Bubby.

I have been thinking about you today, MeMom. I hope everything is going ok. I haven't really been on the DIS for a few days due to that nasty stomach bug that invaded my house(and my work place). I have missed out on so much.

Congratulations to that little cutie patootie on taking her first steps. Love the pictures. I hope that she is feeling better.

Brooklynn on Skype sounds like a blast. It is a pretty neat concept to stay in touch.

DAWN- Congratulations on your exciting news. Think of all the Disney memories you are going to be able to make. I will be praying for you, Ray, and your little precious.

Trent- Good luck with your new job. I hope it is everything you hope it will be and more.

Big hugs to you, MeMom.

I only know what it's like to be the child moving away from the mom, and that wasn't easy at all. I can't imagine being on the mom end of it!

I'll pray for you, your family, and your friend's family this weekend. Hang in there!

Thank you for the good thoughts for my friend.

Wow, that's an awesome HI!

MeMom, you know we love to be here for you during this rough time  You have to just keep thinking of the bright side of things as much as you can!

Cindy and her family are in my prayers :guilty:

Memom,

I will keep your family and your friend's family in my prayers. I will also ask you to return the favor. One of the elders at our congregation is receiving hospice care as well. He has been fighting cancer for three years and has suffered so much. He is one of the best people I have ever known. He has been such a great help to my husband, who is the preacher. We will miss him so much. His wife's name is Syble.

Wow, that's an awesome HI!

LOL yes it is. ALexia has started to sit by me while I Dis so she can look at the pictures and she "knows" Brooklynn and Bella. She loves to look at the pictures and today she asked if she could say hi to Brooklynn and her nana. (She knows you as Memom but calls my mom nana) She was really excited because I let her pick all the smilies she wanted.

MagicShell I will be praying for your elder's family too.

That's always my fear with Connor. :rotfl: I say all the time that I hope he learns to be independent and self-sufficient and not living in my basement! :rotfl2:
