I'm going down to Disney the last weekend of January before I start the Disney College Program Feb 2.

Two friends and my sister are coming with me and we're going to do Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. I've been doing all the planning for it, we aren't staying on Disney property (not my choice :confused3 ) so we were able to reserve our FPs 30 days prior so i did that a couple weeks ago. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was already booked so at the moment this is my plan for us in the morning:

Splash/Thunder Mountain right away.
FP for Jungle Cruise - 9:45-10:45
FP for Pirates - 10:45-11:45
FP for Space Mountain - 12:05-1:05

Is there a possibility FPs will be available for SDMT on the day of if we go to a kiosk after we use our others, or are we just going to have to wait for it.

If FPs arent likely to be available should I switch around my plan to do SDMT first thing and then try Splash/Thunder later on.

Thanks!

I'd suggest going directly to Seven Dwarves, then over to Splash and Big Thunder. You'll get through all 3 well within the first hour if you are amongst the first to get in the park - go in through the tunnel on the right hand side and keep on the right all the way up Main Street. Stick on the right hand side and head up towards the Teacups. Don't go through the castle.

We were on and off Seven Dwarves in about 10 minutes before christmas.

Have fun!

I agree. You need to go either at RD or last thing at night. Getting a 'day of ' FP for SDMT would be a freaking miracle. And in the morning, you need to be at the front of the pack, meaning being inside the gates for the morning show and positioned in front of the tunnel entrance at least 30 min. before RD.

Alright, thanks.

I've only ever gone to WDW in the summer with my family so I've dealt with those crowds, so I'm just basing my planning off those experiences. Since it's SuperBowl Sunday, I'm also hoping the park will empty out later in the day.

Yep. Use this strategy to avoid 130 minute wait by 11am!
