Riding with the Characters

:
No, we were hanging out near where they do their meet and greet. It was in the morning, and before their first greet was set to begin. My daughter was running around and Aladdin popped his head out and waved at her. Then a second later they came out and took her hand and asked if she wanted to go on a Magic Carpet ride. :yay: Then, he and Jasmine took her through the exit to the ride and waved at people getting off the ride and let DD pick the carpet she wanted (Aladdin said 'red, purple or pink?' and she chose pink. ;) ) It was pretty funny, she sat between them, and Aladdin would hold her hands up to get her to raise her arms during the ride. :lmao:
That is such a nice story. Thanks for giving me a smile today and I hope we also get some magic in 15 days.:thumbsup2

Please see the White Rabbit picture in my signature area. We had just arrived at WDW for one of our trips and the first thing the kids wanted to do was ride on the Mad Tea Party. As we approached, we could see Alice and the White Rabbit doing a meet and greet by Mad Tea Party. Unfortunately, the CM had to stop the line so the characters could take their break. And for good reason...there was a number of guests who were acting inappropriately around the characters. Families who had waited their turn in line for their meet and greet had their experience ruined by obnoxious guests who were rudely grabbing at the characters, jumping and hanging all around them.

The poor CM was fighting an uphill battle doing her best to calmly explain to these people that the line is over there and that the line has been stopped. When things settled down for her as she and the characters were about to go on their break, I made eye contact with the CM and shook my head to show her I had empathy for her situation. I approached her and explained that my kids had never met White Rabbit before and we wanted to know when he would be out the next time. She stated, "If you guys are back here at 1:30PM sharp, your kids can ride Mad Tea Party with White Rabbit". My jaw almost hit the ground.

Needless to say, we showed up around 1:15PM. ;) Our kids are now 13, 12 and 10 and they still talk about their ride with White Rabbit often.

ferd, that's soooooo cute! I'm so happy for you both. Love seeing the pics from everyone with their character rides. I can only imagine how excited a kid would be, getting to ride with a character. Heck, I'm 29, and I'd jump up and down with glee myself!
