Riding Test Track & Mission Space After Illuminations?

We will be doing a 3 day blitz of all the parks in mid-july and I am thinking we will only be in Epcot at night when I'm sure all the fastpasses for M:S and TT will be gone. Is it possible to get in line for these rides right after illuminations? I know the lines for these rides are really short during illuminations, but we are going with 2 newbies and we want them to be able to see it. Have you gotten on M:S or TT after illuminations??? We did it once, but it was during xmas week, I just don't know about July

The official word is that you can get in line for rides right up until closing. Future world at epcot usually closes at 7, but even if it were open until 9, illuminations doesnt start until 9, so I dont think theres any way you will get on the rides after the show.

Most of the time TT and M:S are open til 9pm even if Future World closes at 7pm. But, as Stacy said, Illuminations doesn't start til 9pm, and after it's over, usually all that's left open are a few gift shops (usually MouseGear.)

You may be able to experience both of these before Illuminations if crowds aren't bad and you use the single rider line at each. You may get split up, but at least you all will be able to experiece the attractions.
