Has anyone got to do this (apparently Anual Pass Holders only). I am an AP holder, emailed universal with request (per AP Holder newsletter) and have not heard a thing. Any ideas on who I could call to check (I requested this weekend 2/28). Thanks!:goodvibes

I think I emailed last year and never got a response either. We checked with Customer Services when we arrived. In the end, it didn't work out because we were interested in having our handicapped son ride. They ask if he could stand for the length of the parade, which he could not, so he was not able to do it.

After we watched the parade, I think he probably had more fun watching and grabbing beads than he would have had riding anyway.

My oldest son was a balloon handler in the Macy's parade and had a great time doing that.

Thanks. I will check with guest services when I arrive. The parade is a blast, but I thought it would be fun to ride a float this year!

Yeah, same with me. I requested for this Saturday and still haven't gotten a reply. Last year it was the same thing. I signed up but they never replied. I did get to be a balloon handler in the Macy's parade but they were practically begging people in the park to do it. I guess they just don't have much trouble filling up the floats so that is why they don't bother calling back. I guess I'll go to guest services and pester them too. I want to ride with the shirtless hotties!

You have to email the annual pass department at least 24 hours in advance. You should receive an email response telling if you were chosen. Guest Services is unable to provide you with the wristbands to ride the floats unless your name is on the list provided by the annual pass department. Try every week. I had a guest last night tell me that she's been emailing every day, twice a day and still hasn't been chosen. There is no stand by line due to the popularity of the event.

You must sign up for float on Friday a week prior all requests are due by Noon on said Friday. Only one entry per week allowed. submission can be by mail or email. you must also provide the other info exactly as stated in the universal ap newsletter to qualify.
