... which monorail has the better chance of riding the front of the monorail... the Express or the Resort. We will be down over thanksgiving, actually arrive thanksgiving day! *** Can't Wait!!*** :Pinkbounc So since we will only have a partial day... i figured we could hop on the monorail... and hope for a shot at the front seat... Are our odds of getting it any better on a particular monorail (express or resort)?

Think you've got better luck waiting @ one of the resort platforms as opposed to TTC, telling attendent you want to wait (as long as it takes, which it might on a holiday) to ride the monorail.

Better shot mid afternoon (avoid am & pm rush) ...good luck.

And for another perspective...:)

I'd recommend the express, because if you wait at a resort, it is very likely that the front car will be occupied every time a train pulls into the station. There used to be rules about when resort guests could ride in the front car (like certain monorails? I forget...) so that each resort's guests got a chance. I don't know if those are still in effect, though.

Unless you really are pressed for time, you might want to monorail to the TTC and then request the front car for the monorail to Epcot, then hop on the next monorail back, or even that monorail before it returns, if they'll let you. This way you'll get a much longer ride up front and really get the full experience.

We were allowed to ride the front car of the monorail on the resort line. :thumbsup2

Oh I agree with going to Epcot! We often pull this trick when going to the MK even --- park at Epcot then take Monoral over -- sucha loverly trip to make and in evening it is so beatiful if you can see any of the fireworks!. Just haffa tell the CM you want to sit there . Be all smily like :teeth: and it will happen Disney magic & all you know pixiedust:

As long as you are willing to wait, it doesn't matter which beam you choose. Epcot will give you the longest ride, followed by the Express.

With the Resort beam, you run the chance of being asked to step out at one of the resorts.

The front of the monorail has a capacity of four (4) total guests, regardless of age or size.

We've been in front on both and they were both about the same wait. Mid afternoon seems to be the best time though.
