Ridiculous Question - Anyone know Dimensions of an Epcot Garbage Can lid ?

Seriously - if anyone knows this, I'll be shocked.

Wife and I are going for Food & Wine and in years past, when it gets crowded, we've been relegated to gathering around garbage cans just looking for a place to set stuff down. This year, she has it in her head to construct and unrollable "table cloth" to flop over the garbage can lid, but needs to know the dimensions.

I figured if there was any place in the planet she could get an answer to that question, it would be here.

I should. I've eaten enough meals off of them.

We were at F&W this past Friday, and every time I threw something in a garbage can or was juggling my food, I thought of this thread. :thumbsup2

Awwww...he never came back with a photo?

I know, something reminded me of this thread a few weeks ago...I realized we never saw the finished product in use, as the OP promised...

What happened, man??? :upsidedow

I'm fairly new to being addicted tonrhe Disboards (started reading lots last Oct or so), but this thread is by far the best one I've read. My cheek bones hurt from laughing. I hope the OP will come back and post a pic.

Some very friendly (and apparently very thorough) reader on the forum sent me a message today pointing out that I never got around to posting any pictures of the finished project. Whoops !

Anyway, I'm rather busy packing for our next trip (2 Days !!), but I took a couple snaps of the final "Garbage Can Picnic Cloth". It made the trip last October and was perfect. Broke it out several times, and always got a laugh. Turns out it works great on the small tables along the water in Canada as well.

Here it is in rolled up form:

Teaser: In the first pic, it's sitting on our latest project, the top-secret MADS device (Modified Adult Drinking Stroller), which we are testing out during the upcoming trip. Perfect for people without kids who need help hauling a cooler full of water, a bag full of snacks, all their souvenirs PLUS want a rolling table top / beer holder. Optional LED lighting package available.

OMG, this is why I love DISboards.

It's really too bad I sold my kids stroller once they grew out of it. I could really copy that MADS device. Showing this to DH....

Lol. We certainly think so. I'm sure others disagree.

That's what I love about Disney - it brings all different kinds of people together, and lets them all share in the same fun.

I'm laughing about the people freaking about eating off a trash can! I've had many a fine dining experience there!

Man, you get more germs from the hand rail at space mountain! :)

Thanks! So glad to see the finished product being used and enjoyed. We are missing the F&WF terribly, and are hoping to make it down for a long weekend this fall.
