What I know that is DAS eligible, but has no LL

WDW - AK: TriceraTop Spin
WDW - EP: Gran Fiesta Tour Staring the Three Caballeros
WDW - MK: Astro Orbiter, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, PeopleMover (PeopleMover is the only one I am not 100% sure on)

DLR: Many with almost all of Fantasyland not part of LL

Thank you. We’re going to WDW. I know we’ll definitely want to go on the Gran Fiesta and the Carrousel.

That isn't actually true, in general, if it has a standby line, it qualifies, although Peoplemover is unclear to me as well.

All of the rides listed by tobikaye qualify for a return time.
I have used my DAS a few times at the people mover. Ask the CM that is just before you go up the ramp for a return time

We were at Disney last summer, pre Genie, but with a DAS. For Gran Fiesta, they sent us to the line where they load ECV or wheel chairs. But it took awhile, and we got stuck in there to a point that I was trying to get cast members attention, to get out of line,, as it was getting too long and it was going to be an issue with the anxiety issues.

We find that can be an issue with the entire Mexico pavilion. We only go inside when the crowd levels are low.

When you are in a park using DAS, the My Disney Experience app will show a list of attractions eligible to make a DAS Return in the app. If the attraction is not listed, you can’t make a DAS Return Time in the app; you would need to go to the attraction to see what your options are. Some of the ones not listed include the movies in China, France and Canada and the ride in Mexico.

Touring Plans has a list of Genie+ attractions, which are generally also those available for DAS Return Times in the app. Guests using DAS can make a DAS Return Time for the Individual Lightning Lane attractions, based on the current posted Standby Wait. The movies in world showcase generally don't have lines, you are usually simply waiting for the next showing to start, so it would be hard to do a DAS for that.

I know for a fact that people mover will give you a DAS return time. There is a cast member right at the bottom of the escalator and that is where you get your return time and where you go back to get on the ride. I imagine that it is the same for all of the other rides without a LL queue.

I have had no issue with the boat ride in Mexico. The will usually just let you through the wheelchair line.

I meant dealing with the crowds in the Mexico pavilion in general, it can definitely set off anxiety.

i think you can get DAS for any ride you just can’t get advanced time for a LL you have to do it in park, anda standby line has to be available. If standby li e is available you can get a time.

We‘ve used DAS since it began in 2013 and have also used the new ability to book DAS Return Times on the My Disney Experience app.
It works the way I wrote in the post you quoted.

DAS Advance Selections must be made in connection with doing the DAS video registration. This link from the WDW website lists the attractions that might be available for DAS Advance Selection (based on availability). The Individual Lighting Lane attractions are not available for DAS Advance Selections.

DAS Return Times at the park are available in the app for any attraction that has Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lane; they will be listed in the app as choices that are available for DAS Return Time.
There are a few attractions that don’t have Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lane or a Stsndby line. They are mostly things that don’t normally have a wait at all (like the movies in China and Canada, characters in Epcot who just appear outdoors, etc.
Guests usually can’t get a DAS Return Time for those, but CM at the attraction may be able to offer some alternatives to make the wait easier.

Just to clear up any confusion regarding the 'People Mover' at MK...

We ride 'People Mover' on most days when we visit the MK (and we are locals with APs, that are in the parks multiple times each week). When the stand-by line is short, we often simply choose to ride stand-by. But when wait times are high, or People Mover is tending to go down frequently, we will sometimes grab a DAS return time. You CAN obtain a DAS return time for People Mover via the app, or you can request a return time at the entrance to the attraction -- either way are options.

As for the original question of how/where do you scan in? For attractions that do not have a LL, but where you can use DAS... simply walk up to the CMs at the attraction entrance. The CMs will have a hand-held pad which they can use to scan your magic band or admission ticket medium to confirm you are returning using DAS. This is what they did prior to LL, and how they are continuing to handle the DAS at non-LL attractions. ;)
