I have a question I am going to Disney with my mom, dad, DH and DD who will be 2 1/2. My dad is in a ECV and can not transfer very well, he can if the seats are about the same level or just a little different than the ECV and are not moving.
I know that DD will want Papa to go with her on the rides. What rides can the ECV go on?
Thanks

Get the WDW pamphlet on disabilities or buy the Unofficial Guide to WDW. Some you can tranfer to a wheelchair, all the shows are ok, some you have to be able to get on and would not work.

Hi and :welcome: to disABILTIES!

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. The top item is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information, including a lot of very useful links.

Or, if you want an easier route, click on the link in my signature.

As a general rule it is possible to get the ECV very close to the ride vehicles. It may be necessary for someone in your party to assist him. The CMs can move the ECV after he gets out, or get it to him, but are not permitted to physically assist him an any way even if he specifically asks for assistance.

And if you are looking for a Guidebook, we recommend The Open Mouse which is specifically designed for people with disabilities; it is available from either Amazon or www.passporter.com which is the publisher.
