My daughter will be 3.5 almost 4 when we go to DLRP in March  . I am presuming there will be hight restrictions on some rides. She will normally go on any ride she is allowed to and is not at all scared. Can you recomend the best rides, so we can head for these rather than having to search for them. I am not that bothered about rides we are mainly going for her so we would be looking for mainly rides suitable for her age. We are doing a character breakfast and a fatasyland one so will be in the park early on 2 mornings, which of the rides should we head for first.

Also we are driving via the tunnel, I have been told it takes 2.5 to 3 hours, can anyone confirm this is about right and also the best place to get directions.

Thanks

She will be able to go on most of the rides except the big roller coasters. I would head first for Peter Pan and Dumbo as these get very large queues once the parks get busy.

I'd also recommend Pochantas's playground - my 2 adore it and it gives parents a chance to sit down and relax!

Welcome to our board!

I would recommend spending one of your early mornings in Fantasyland and doing Dumbo first , then Peter Pan , Pinnochio and Snow White before heading up the back to Casey Jnr and the Storybook cruise then back to do It's a Small World and The Carousel.

At the studios I'd head for the flying carpets and Animagique and the raining umbrella our DD (3) loved it !!

I would go to Dumbo first. My daughter was the same age as yours and this was her favourite ride and it can have massive queues!

We spent most of our time at fantasyland as it has the best rides for younger children.
Casey Jnr, Mad Hatter tea cup and its a small world was also a hit with my Daughter.
She also like the pirates of the caribbean and didn't find it scary. She really liked the dips.

At The studios try the flying carpets, Animaqique, and the Art of Disney Animation.

I am sure your daughter will have an excellent time! :sunny:

Given the age of your DD Fantasyland I think will be your favourite land.
All the rides previous poster have said are all located here.
If she is not scared then Phantom manor is a bit more grown up and Pirates of the Caribbean is a very good ride.

We used this to plan our journey from the ferry. Journey should take no more than 3 1/2 hours :)

Thanks for all your great replies. I've noted everything in my little red book !!

As I have said in another thread - we often (but not as often as I would like!) have driven down to Disney from the tunnel. It is an easy run until after Charles DeGaulle airport when there are a couple of turns and lane changes which I can find tricky - but there are Micky signs to guide you! You basically follow the A1 - signed Paris /Charle de Gaulle, then A104 signed Lyon then A4 - signed Nancy and Reims. There is one toll which accepts credit cards - you get a ticket at the first stop and pay at the second. The barrier goes up BEFORE your credit card is given back - dont drive off! (Yes, nearly!) With a three and a half year old you will Need to Stop! So it will take longer than 3 hours -we always stop for croissants and juice, and it takes between 3.5 and 4.
As to rides - yes, Fantasy land is great and she will enjoy any of those (my favourite is Casey Junior!) In the rest of the park Pirates is good, Phantom manor could be a little scarey. Orbitron is just the same as Dumbo - Space Mountain will be a no -no - as will Indiana Jones - but she might possibly get away with Big Thunder Mountain. Use the baby switch facility if the grown ups want to go on - just queue once and take turns - one rides while one waits with the short one, then swap!
In the studios I would Not Do Armageddon - I have been on it with too many scared children - there are warnings which say not suitable for small children and it is Very Scary - my darling daughter didn t like it and she was 16 at the time!

Have fun!
Liz
