Hi, I was wondering if we will be able to do rides with our almost 2 year old on our laps for rides like Pooh, HM, Pirates, ect......Basically the slow moving rides is what Im wondering about. We also have a 4 year old so I know we will be taking her on all the kid rides, hoping to be able to have the 2 yo on our laps. What do you think??????

It depends on the child but we just got back from the World with a 16 month old and a 2.5 year old.

We took both girls on all rides except the following:

16 month old did not go on the Barnstormer (2.5 year old couldn't get enough)

both did not go on Buzz Lightyear. (we had to bail out of line due to the 2.5 year old being scared of the space monsters)

We did however take them on everything else (without height restrictions).

The only issues we had were with the dark spots on rides like Tomorrowland Transit Authority and Jungle Cruise and we had to talk her through sections of Pirates of the Caribean and the Haunted Mansion.

I would suggest that you make the call based on how your kids are but keep in mind the rides we had issues with, our girls were up and ready for the next ride before you knew it.

Hope this helps.

Did a trip in November with my little guys the same age. No problem on anything. We did all the MK rides. I think the little ones are even more able to handle some of the Disney stuff. They just go along for the ride. When we took DD back last May - she was a little older and went on all the same rides - she just covered her eyes more!

We took our DD to DW last year - she was 18 months old at the time. There are so many rides and attractions at Magic Kingdom for your 22 month old to go on with you. I honestly can't remember most of the names, but some of them are: Peter Pan, Dumbo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted House, etc. There are so many kiddie rides, your DC will not be bored! What we did when we got to the park was to get a paper listing all the rides. Your DC can go on any that do NOT have a hight restriction. Honestly, there were way more rides that she could go on than I really expected.

Have a fun trip!!!

started taking Ds at age 3 months, and even then, we took him on everything with out a height restriction. He is almost 4 now, and still loves all the rides ( except I cant get him on splash mtn..lol) He loves Big THUnder Mtn.. but he thinks Splash is too fast. He wont even try it. LOVES the choo choo roller coaster..... hmmmm.....

He isnt afraid of the dark rides and Buzz is his favorite!!

Our DD went at 26 months. She is not as adventurous as some but not extremely shy either. She did very well on many of the rides. A couple she sat on my lap facing me when they were too scary (POC). The biggest problem we had was that most rides were too loud for her ears and she had sensory overload. I or she would cover her ears. You might want to bring a couple ear plugs to dampen the sound.

Back in May we took our 23 month old and 4 yr old DD and they went on everything! We did have to talk the 4 yr old throught haunted mansion a bit but otherwise they both went on all they could including Barnstormer, and the 3 D shows. They loved Aladdin and Dumbo rides too!

I remember trying to ride Pooh while I was pregnant and I had to kinda sit sideways in the seatb/c of the lapbar so I don't know about putting the 2 y/o on your lap. You could always put him/her on the seat next to you and put your arm around him/her. I remember when my oldest was 2, we took a small little flashlight for anytime it got a little dark. We gave it to her so she could light it up when she wanted to. Just one of those little squeeze lights would be fine. Knowing she could kinda control theamount of darkness by lighting her flashlight made her not really afraid.

great idea..someone also mentioned the ear plugs and light up braeclets....so if you put her on your lap before the bars close there still would not be enough room or just if they crawl up mid way. i was wondering about this also since it seems gbaby would feel better sitting on our laps. other than the obvious like rnr ( not like i'd take a 2 yr old on that anyway  )any other attractions that wouldn't work for a "lap" and i am guessing this is ok with the cms ( wondered if all tushes had to touch the seat or anything like that)
thanks

Great suggestions everyone!! Thanks a lot. This really has helped me. Im sure the little one will be just fine on all the kiddie rides. I think I may use the flashlight idea for my 4 yo, just incase!!!
