rides to ride twice?

I read a suggestion to do the storybook canal at night... to see it lit up. I didn't think about how some rides should be done twice, in the day and night. I'm thinking ToT would be another good one to do twice. What other rides should be in this group?

All of them but I do think tot is better at night.

I would think any that is in the daylight would be fun at dark.

No No No!! It is too bloody dark! You can't see a blooming thing. Worst time ever to go.

First thing in the morning when it opens after MM!! Then your Pix turn out.

Not 12 ones with nothing even on them. That I paid to have printed. I was so anger.

It's interesting that you were suggested to ride the Storybook Canal at night - because when my wife and I did, we thought it was the lamest most boring ride ever! We couldn't enjoy the detail of any of the little houses or anything.

Jungle Cruise might also have a different feel at night - the lighting could put a different emphasis on things, etc.

CA Screamin' is like, ha ha, night and day to do it at night vs the day. Oh that sounded stupid. Actually you should ride it 3 times. In no good order: at night, in the day towards the middle, in the day at the very very front. Only do the front if you find you like the ride.


I've heard the BTMRR suggestion more than once, but have never ridden it during the darktime (as my 4 year old calls night).

Matterhorn I would think would be interesting.

Nemo is interesting b/c you can see the difference between sunlight and artificial light, if you're like me and need to look up every so often to keep the low-level claustrophobia at bay.

Railroad.

I imagine Dumbo would be cool at night.


You know, anything that has a heavy outside element to it would be a different experience, so it might be easier to find the only-indoors rides to do just once!

I could be wrong, but if OP is referring to the same info I saw, it actually said to ride the Storybook Canal as the sun was going down but before it got dark so that you can still see everything but then the sun isn't beating down on you.

Ride the Matterhorn during the fireworks. Seeing them burst as you come out of the mountian is amazing. Actaully, I don't even care for that ride, but when we did that, it was really neat.

ok, well, instead of the "day" vs. "night" thing there are lots of rides that I like to ride multiple times because of the theming and details:

Pirates
Haunted Mansion

and because I like to better my score!

I'll second that. Not that I did it, but that I think that's where the suggestion came from. Fireworks, definitely fireworks.

Jungle Cruise is actually quite fun at night! I even had an insane guide once who made the night cruise so manic that it was the funniest one I'd ever been on! He was holding this huge spotlight thing, the microphone and the gun and trying to steer--all at once.

Then I took my DD on it a few months later at night, and they had installed a light to the front of the boat, so that the guide didn't have to hold the light. I think it made it not QUITE as fun, but it was still a whole different experience at night.

And I like the Storybook Canal Boats at night, too, when everything is lit up--I admit it might seem lame if you hadn't seen it ever during the day, but it was charming to me.

All of the roller coasters at night are also excellent!

Yep, Storybook Canal Boats while the Fireworks are going off is an awesome experience, but to be honest, I enjoy the ride at night even without the fireworks. I believe the enjoyment of Storybook, much like the Jungle Cruise, is largely dependent on your skipper/captain. The very best skippers I have had on both Jungle Cruise and Storybook have been at night. May just be luck of the draw, but based on my past experiences I'm sticking with my nighttime enjoyment of both these rides.

I agree with the good skippers comment. I have had some pretty bad ones on the STorybook Boats--for some reason, they always talk with this strange tour guide pattern and it's hard to understand them, plus they sound SO bored. We had one once who ended every little section with talking about someone falling "IN LOOOOOVE." It became a really nice little gimmick that made the ride much more fun. It seems like the Jungle Cruise skippers have a little more leeway with what they can say, and you get more personal touches.

Another vote for the Jungle Cruise at night!

Also, the Astro Orbiters at night! You can see Tomorrowland (and everything else) all lit up. Not as cool as when the Rocket Jets were up high on top of the Peoplemover load area, but still pretty cool!
