This is the list I got from another site. Are there any others that I should avoid? I'll be 27 - 28 weeks pregnant on our trip in August. Thanks!

MK: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Goofy's Barnstormer, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Indy Speedway
Epcot: Body Wars, Test Track
MGM: Tower of Terror, Rock'n'Roller Coaster, Star Tours
AK: Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safaris

We were in Disney in December when I was 16 weeks pregnant.
Just wanted to add my two cents:

1. I asked my doctor if I could go on Splash Mtn, my favorite ride.He said yes, just no rides that throw you back and forth or toss you around. He said the drop on Splash Mtn is harmless. (he had been on the ride himself)

2. If you are going to Universal Studios, avoid the Nickelodeon ride. I thought it would be no big deal, but you really get tossed around in your seat. (it is a motion simulator). I found myself trying to brace myself while the ride was moving so as to not get bounced around so much. I guess this applies to all motion simulator rides.

You should check with your doctor for his/her advice too. I just wanted to let you know my experience!!!!!

Have a great trip and good luck w/the baby!

Thanks for your responses! I'm a little nervous about going so far along, but my DH won a trip through his work and they are putting us up at the Contemporary! We've never even stayed on site, so this is an opportunity that I really don't want to miss out on.

WillAndFinn'sMom- I will add primeval whirl to my list!

DISFANSHAN - The practice I go to has 4 different doctors so I will be asking each and every one of them for their opinions. I don't want to take any chances!

Also, are there any rides that I might have trouble getting on or fitting comfortably on? This is my third pregnancy, but I can't remember how big I was at that stage with either of my other two. Are any of the restraints a problem?

I am going in three weeks when I will be 15 weeks pregnant. My doctor said to just avoid the rollercoasters. I asked about teacups because I had heard to avoid them. He said they were fine as long as we don't spin them out of control. (which is not an issue with my little ones)

I will be 5 months pregnant in May when I leave. I will let you know how it goes. The biggest thing I have read everywhere is to keep yourself completely hydrated.

The Contemporary is WONDERFUL! It is so easy to get to all the parks and has to be the best location. I hope you have a great time!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

One that's missing from the list is Mision Space.
The rides that WDW recommends pregnant women not ride are marked on the park maps with a small triangle icon. There are also signs informing you of restrictions at the entrance and again before the boarding of each ride.
For Splash Mountain, someone had posted one time that her doctor recommended not doing it because of the G forces on the body during the big drop. Even though the ride isn't ough or bumpy, she was advised that a sudden fast drop like that could cause problems with the placenta separating in some people.
Also, teacups isn't on any lists, but I have read posts from pregnant moms who said the spinning made them feel sick and some that were surprised how unsteady they felt getting off the teacups (possibly due to their changed center of gravity). So, if you do go on, just be careful when getting off.

Hi,

I am going in less than 2 weeks, I will be 32 weeks pregnant. I got the o.k. from my doctor. I have a copy of my medical records and I know which rides not to go on, buts its pretty much common sense. I plan on drinking lots of water and taking it slow. I have a little one so we will go back to the pool every afternoon and then take a nap. Just listen to you body you will have a great time:D

I am interested in this as well, as I will be 6 mos along when we go. I know some have said they have gone on the Safari while pregnant with no problems, and I don't think it's any bumpier than some of the parking lot "humps" we have to cross sometimes, but I am curious about Kali River Rapids. We've ridden it a few times and I don't recall anything being too bad? Is it because it's jerky? This is ds favorite ride and I would like to go on it with him, but will avoid it if it puts the baby in any harm.

i did kali river rapids when i was 8 wks pg with my ds. it is very tame  i'll be 6 months pg with #2 when we go in june and i will probably do it again.

It isn't the splash in Splash Montian that can be bad, the seats are really rather uncomfortable and put you at a bad angle with your legs and but up funny. It depends on how flexible you are at the time you go. :D

I avoided it when I went at 32 weeks for that reason. I didn't mind missing rides because at the time I really didn't feel like being jiggled.

In Jan I was just 8 weeks pregnant, and my doc said I could do anything I felt up to, so I rode Mission Space and Dinosuar. What is funny is I was throwing up all the time anyway, why not ride mission space. I didn't get sick at all ( I had rode it non pregnant this summer so I new what to expect.) Actaully I felt great for the most part while at WDW both when I was 8 weeks and 32 weeks pregnant (differnt pregnancies.) Just being there puts you in a good mood. (and lots of yummy food always avilable.) While at home I still feel icky sometimes and was really sick until I was 17 weeks along!

Do what you are comfortable with, when in doubt skip it. It isn't worth the risk. (But there is still a ton you can do.)

Good luck, this Aug I will be 40 weeks pregnant, so I am staying close to home then! (but we head to Vero Beach in a few days, I can't wait!!!!)

Thanks to everyone for their advice and suggestions! I don't really mind missing some of the rides since my 2 year old won't be able to do them anyway and DH can take my 4 year old on the ones we can't do. It will give me a good excuse to take a break and sit on a bench eating a mickey bar or something! I am a little worried about all of the walking since I know how exhausting a day at the parks can be but I'll just try to take it slow.

Great tips! I will be 20 wks when we go in May and my drs. said to have fun. We will be taking the kiddie route though, DD2's first trip! My drs suggested taking a break every hour or so on the ride down, walk around the car, take a bathroom break, and drink plenty of fluids.

I went in 2000 when I was 7 months pregnant. As a roller coaster lover, I thought I would be unable to enjoy one. While it's not a great thirll, I LOVED the little roller coaster in Toontown Fair. I think it was Goofy's Barnstormer or something. Anyway, my poor husband was dragged on about 10 times, but I loved it!!!

Hi, I went in January and I was 29 weeks pregant. I stayed of all rides recommend by Disney except Kilimanjaro Safaris. I had been on the ride before and felt comfortable with riding it again. However the cast member at the ride asked me how far along I was and told me I had to sit in the front row as it doesn't get as rough. I did go on the ride in Norway at Epcot and would not recommend it. Even though it isn't a big ride I found it very rough being pregant and my back bothered me the rest of the day.

My doctor recommended that I go in my second trimester pregancy. We stayed on site at the Boardwalk and being pregant it made life alot easier!!! We took afternoon breaks and it allowed us to returned to the parks in the evening when the crowds were smaller all refreshed. It was the most enjoyable Disney trip I ever went on. I found I got to enjoy the littler things Disney had to offer that normally I would miss out on.

Have a great trip!!
Jaime:D Due in six days!!!!!:p

You are all brave! I wouldnt ride much more than the train. Thats just me though. It took me 5 years to get pregnant.
Congratulations! Good Luck! Im sure your doctor knows best!:D

Loriann630 - I have heard that people that have a harder time getitng pregnant are much more cautious then those that don't. I have a friend that wouldnt eat chocolate or drink any caffine at all during her pregnancy and nursing..while I dranks soda and ate oreo's all the time. Now, she defianltey didn't gain as much weight as I did..LOL..but I rmember her being much more cautious.

I actaully havent mentioned it to my Doctor yet. I should probably make an appointment before I go...I am due for one anyway. But I agree, just do what you are comfortibale doing and you'll be fine.

Loriann630 - It took me five years to get pregant on my first child too. And your right I probably wouldn't of went to Disney on that pregancy. However our trip to Disney this time was so magical and relaxing, I think it helped that I had a small child that forced me to take it slow. I would go again when I was pregant.
