Rides that need a face-lift

My friend and I were discussing our favorite 3d movies at Disney and I thought about Honey, I shrunk the audience and how I think it's pretty dated. Bring back Captain EO!

Any rides that you think need a major updating?

Hmmmm, All the rides are so good. If I had to choose one to get a face lift, It would have to be... Splash Mountain. Dont get me wrong, this is a fantasitic ride but I think it needs to be given a bigger drop at the end. 50 ft is not intimidating AT ALL. I would want it upped to at least 150 feet. Then it'd be OUTRAGIOUSLY awesome!

Well, its not exactly a ride...but I have to say Country Bear Jamboree. This show is in DIRE need of renovation, or it simply needs to be removed. This is such a nice space/audience area and it could be better used. The bears look absolutely dingy and dirty and the mechanical movements of the bears are really starting to get off-key and outdated.

Well I would love COP to be updated at the last stage. Also jungle cruise, if they could make the animals move as realistic as Jack Sparrow and maybe give you more of a dramatic feeling your actually out in the wild, ex. a Croc bumps into the boat and a splash and boat rock follow. Splash mountain with a 150 foot fall, would reduce the line like crazy... not to mention it might be hard to increase the drop unless they dug deeper into the ground. I think its perfect, one of the few rides that doesnt use cardboard cutouts. I wish more were like that. Space mountain and thunder moutnain could use a bigger drop, Thunder Mountain is tame. Mickeys Phillarmagic is one of my favorites, but as time goes on everyone will get used to it, I wonder if they could make a Phallarmagic 2.

They need new speakers! I couldn't even hear it when we went last time I was raving to my friends about how it was one of my favorite shows as a kid and afterwards they were all looking at me like I was crazy

I was about to say that if they changed it to 150 ft, people would be getting wet from something other water from being so scared

Splash Mountain was like a lazy river ride with some scenery. That drop was a joke. All that waiting and floating and you don't even get wet?? What the heck??

And maybe update The Great Movie Ride. I enjoyed it but John Wayne? Come on...

I think we should go Soarin' over the 7 wonders of the world. I just dont think Florida is that scenic

How about just something for the east coast since Soarin' covers California (half of the west coast)?

It could cover WDW, Miami, Everglades, Tampa (maybe zoom over the football stadium), Pensacola and the military base, if possible, Coastal Carolinas, etc. Ya know...maybe not the Carolinas. There's probably enough in Florida. Oh, Cape Canaveral, too. And zooming along Daytona Superspeedway!

I know what you mean...I loved it as a kid too! Its just time for it to go. It looks really raggedy compared to all the new attractions like Soarin.

I can see Honey, I shrunk The Audience in need- the film looks out of focus (yes, I had the galsses on) and worn.
El Rio deTimpo (if i have that spelled righ) - i think this is due for rehab as well.

I love Splash Mt...not sure about 150ft drop, but a little more might be good. I think Peter Pan's flight needs a make over and so does Snow White's ride. When your flying thru Peter Pan those exit signs and staircases are right there,very visable.....they just need to work on disguseing them a bit more. Snow White is kind of lame my niece and nephew found it boring. They were 5 and 6 at the time and didn't really enjoy it.

I agree about Peterpan and Snowwhite, as much as MK brings in it couldnt be hard to Refurb. these rides. I wish they would replace everycard board cutout with full 3d characters or animatronics like Splash Mountain... like that will ever happen.

I agree with Great Movie Ride needing a face-lift...or a update will do!!
There are so many great movies now that need to be mentioned...or at least in the ending presentation!


Also, the backlot tour....do something else with that tour!! Add more stuff or change it out!!!
