Priceless photos of you and Rosie! Fantastic surprise! Nicest security ever!! The pole dancing pic should be printed and framed... Maybe Rosie could get a larger spoon and use that photo...well, guess it would have to be an awfully large spoon. Not a great idea.

Seven layer cookies look yummy - especially the festive Christmas ones. Hope Magdalene posts the photo of the pre-opened prize!

Great shot of driving up to the Boardwalk - we've stayed at BWV a couple of times - had a very nice studio close to the elevators (not noisy at all). Not my favorite resort, but would stay again. If staying deluxe I'm most at home at an MK resort. Of course, walking to International Gateway and the Studios is fabulous!

Rosie is good for a lot of laughs more than just on the DIS!

Not so sure even one of those really large wooden "wall" spoons would be enough to hold that pole dancing pic!

Chapter 7 – DHS Rope Drop



This was a very enjoyable trip for many reasons, but a huge one was because Jonathan and I seemed to be completely in sync the whole time. It was really great to be on the same schedule and after a mostly quiet evening and good night's sleep, it was easy for us both to get up and prepare for our final full day by heading out early to try and make another Rope Drop. Of course I guess it is at least a little possible that staying off-property helped since there was no Disney transportation to fall back on if Jonathan wasn't in the car when I pulled out. But still, I never had to tell him to get up and get ready twice, and he never once drug around like he was tired or not totally into it so we'll go with the totally in sync option here.

After getting ready and taking advantage of the complimentary breakfast at the hotel, we were in the car right on time and on our way to our first destination of the day.........DHS. This was the third Disney World park we would be touring with Magdalene and Katharina, and with the Halloween party planned for that night at MK, we would be able to share all four parks in our three days together.

We quickly arrived and parked in the DHS lot and were close enough to the entrance that we just walked instead of worrying about the tram. On the way in I stopped to get a quick picture.

So how did we do this day making rope drop?

Jonathan once again got to pose for a "first at the turnstile" photo op.

And of course since so many on the DIS feel the need to take a picture of Bo when they enter DHS, here is a shot of him from outside waiting anxiously for everyone to arrive and say hello.

They finally let us in and we headed up an empty Hollywood Boulevard

Jonathan and I were first to arrive at the rope where we would have to wait about 20 minutes until the park officially opened. We arrived to find CMs waiting to greet us.

Being first at the rope left me plenty of time to take a few pictures. Behind us, the crowd was a little light following us to the rope.

The crowd continued to build behind us. We were joined by none other than Mike Wazowski……………with his one good eye!!!

More empty park…….with CMs heading off to prepare for our arrival.

When we first arrived at the rope little did I know that the CM prominently in my previous picture would play a big part as we waited. This CM was named Ramon, and since they aren’t doing an Opening Pre-Show any longer, it was Ramon’s task to keep us “entertained” until rope drop. I really wish I remembered the name of the other CM in this picture, but sadly I don’t as he quickly became my buddy.

Ramon was getting us to do various crowd activities and chants and was very energetic. Unfortunately some troublemaker near the rope kept doing just the opposite of what Ramon was trying to get everyone to do, and it didn’t take long for Ramon to take notice of this difficult individual. As Ramon would stop to try and get this person to behave, his fellow CM in the picture (oh sure, he LOOKS sweet and innocent) would come up and encourage this person to continue causing trouble for Ramon.

It didn’t take long before Ramon put me, uh I mean this troublemaker, in Time Out and for one minute he was not allowed to speak. I think the poor guy almost exploded before those sixty seconds were over.

Finally the time was near to open the park, and additional CMs joined Ramon at the rope to escort everyone off to various points in the park.

The characters come out to welcome everyone, and Ramon’s buddy says hello to Minnie.

As the CMs began to lead us off towards our first destination of TSMM, I dropped back a little since Jonathan had our APs and would be stopping at the FP machines so we could ride again later after Magdalene and Katharina arrived.

As we got closer to the entrance to TSMM, I moved away from the crowd that would be headed to the FP machines on the right, and prepared to head to the Standby entrance and wait on Jonathan to join me there.

Jonathan and I had already discussed our plan of attack for TSMM, and decided we would try and work together to improve both of our scores. So how did we do???

I don’t usually have very good scores on TSMM, but I was happy with my 121,400. I think at the time, this may have been a new high for Jonathan.

Katharina and Magdalene hadn’t arrived at the park yet, so we headed off down Sunset Boulevard for the other ride attractions we enjoy at DHS. I always have to get that first shot of ToT.

I know that typically the wait at RnR grows faster than ToT, so we headed there first. Besides, RnR is one of my favorite rides at WDW, so it usually wins out for me regardless. While we were in line I got a text from Magdalene that they were arriving at the park. I texted back where we were and she replied they would meet us at the exit to RnR when we got done with the ride. And of course, we have to get the redneck ride photo.

As we exited the ride we located Katharina and Magdalene waiting on us. I asked what they wanted to do and Magdalene figured we wouldn’t want to ride RnR again right after we got done, but I quickly told her we can never ride RnR too many times, so we all got back in line.

And of course another ride means another redneck ride photo. Luckily we were in the same car so I only had to take one picture to get all of us.

So what do we all do next????
