Are there any rides/sites or areas you would recommend skipping. I am going with my 3 1/2 yr old for only one day. So we have to hit the major attractions and the good ones. I was wondering your thoughts on things i could miss this trip.

Do NOT do Stitch's Great Escape. There were many terrified, screaming children in this "adventure." It was not a good experience. It might have been better if there weren't 3 year olds locked into their seats screaming in terror. My 10 year old DD thought it was dumb and won't waste time on it again.

I might also skip the Jungle Cruise with a little one. The best part of that attraction are the jokes with a good skipper.

Splash, Space and Big Thunder might be too much for someone that young. (Actually, I think he's prolly too short for them anyway...) And I suspect the Haunted Mansion might terrify him, too.

DO try the biggies in Fantasyland: Peter Pan, Pooh, Dumbo, the Carousel and Small World. He might get a kick out of the Tikki Room, too :earsboy:

Welcome to the DIS!

Because of the height requirements you will have to skip Space Mountain, the Indy Speedway, and probably Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. If she's over 40", she could go on Splash Mountain. Unless you get there right at opening, skip Dumbo. You can go on the Magic Carpets and Astro Orbitor for the same effect and much less of a wait. I'd probably skip Pirates of the Carribean too and even Haunted Mansion. Those might scare her, along with the Stitch Ride, as the other poster said.

Start out in Fantasyland to make sure you get the highlights done. Get a fastpass for the Pooh ride and then do the others. Mickey's Philarmagic is a fun movie. If there's a wait, you can fastpass that as well. You could also skip some of the show type attractions: Timekeeper, Carosuel of Progress, Hall of Presidents, and the Country Jamboree. If I only had one day, I'd skip Tom Sawyer's Island and the Liberty Belle Riverboat ride.

With a 3 1/2 year old, there are going to be a few rides they won't be able to do anyway. Splash Moutain and BTMR are two big rides he isn't tall enough for and definitely skip Stitch in Tomorrowland. All of Fantasyland will be fun for him except Snow White's Scary Adventure, if he doesn't like the dark or scares easily, I'd skip that one and maybe even The Teacups if you aren't sure how he/she does on spinning rides. You shouldn't have any problems seeing everything a 3 1/2 year old would enjoy. It's not a ride, but I'd make time for Belle's Storytime near the castle. I saw alot of small children there, boys and girls and they loved it!

When my DS's were that age we basically stayed in Fantasyland and Mickey's Toontown. Between the parade and meeting characters and eating that was pretty much our days when they were that age. Have a great time. My DS's are getting older and I sure miss those days of when they were little and seeing the excitment in their faces. Don't get me wrong the excitment is still there but the certain expressions are changing.

Have a great trip. :goodvibes

When they were around 3 both my son and daughter really liked the people mover ride. My son also rode the Haunted Mansion and Pirates without any problem, but my daughter did not like Pirates then so she did not go on the Haunted Mansion. My son also LOVED the Barnstormer. You might want to try Buzz Lightyear -- even if he can't work the gun he would probably find the ride visually interesting.

I would skip the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse (lots of steps!)

I would definitely skip Pirates of the Carribean, the Haunted Mansion, The Hall of Presidents and Snow Whites Scary Adventures!
My daughter was 5 when we went to MK and her favorites were the Country Bear Jamboree, Jungle Cruise and Winnie the Pooh.

Just got back from great trip w/ DD4 1/2 and DS 2 1/2. They both were pretty scared of Haunted Mansion and DD did NOT like the Splash Mtn drop. They loved all the Fantasyland rides, Mickey's Philharmagic, Goofy's Barnstormer. They were a little nervous during Pirates. Liked everything else in Adventureland and Tomorrowland. Had our time been limited we would have spent most of our time in Fantasyland and Toon Town. My kids LOVED meeting the characters which was shocking to me because DS2 is normally very shy. He ran up to all of them and hugged them! Weird.
