OK, I've got to ask this question. Right - anyone laughs and I'm off!

I'm built on the larger side of life - rounder rather than tall. :sad2: I am taking my son (3 yrs) in a few weeks. Which rides should I avoid? Once had a really big disappointment at Legoland when my son wanted to go on a ride and we got to the front of the queue and I wouldn't fit. He was disappointed.

Any advice - the diet starts when we get back!!

Hi small. Can't help directly with your question but I'm sure you'll manage on all the rides that DS will be happy with.

If you are concerned then email DLP direct if other posters cannot help with your query :)

Hi small :sunny:
after reading your post I tried to remember all seats of the attractions, especially those of the rides that will appeal to your DS and I don`t think there will be any problems.
I do remember though that I always had the feeling that the seats at Orbitron are quite small but the ride is pretty the same as Dumbo where I felt the seats to be bigger and I´m sure your DS will like Dumbo better anyway...
But I agree that you should contact DLP so you don`t have to worry about anything and can truly enjoy your visit!

Which of the rides at Legoland did you not fit on? This is because my dad is also cuddly, and he has been with dd to Legoland and DLP. At DLP I don't remember him having any particular problems, because most of the rides had one bar that holds in both passengers - I don't think he was always comfortable but took it in tight to ensure dd did not fall out. Rides like the tea cups etc you will be fine with.

Also, if you have any particular medical problems that would prevent you standing in a queue for a length of time - a lot of queues can be 30 minutes - over hour - ask if you would entitled to a medical pass.

diamond57, nothing medical - however if it gets a pass :rolleyes1 - Only joking. No, I am just 'big boned' and eaten too much chocolate in my life. :rolleyes1 I didn't make it onto the helicopters at Legoland but it was more to do with fitting my knees in as well as getting back far enough with my 'big bum'.

I want to try and make it as fun as possible as we were meant to go a couple of weeks ago but we had to cancel with a tummy bug went throiugh the house. We have booked again but on the credit card this time. :guilty: :sad2: The GP has signed the travel insurance form so we should get our orginal money back. It won't cover the difference in price for the new holiday. The 1st booking got an extra night free and 15% off. No offers this time. :sad2: We are now in the DCR rather than NY but I think it will suit us better as we have 2 kids going and they can then have bedrooms and we can some 'evening time'.

Here is a website I found for large people visiting WDW. Maybe some of the rides are the same at Disneyland Paris. Hope this is helpful. :goodvibes

WDW at Large

ETA: I went back and looked at the site a bit more. Make sure to click on all the info as it is all for larger people.

Most (if not all) of the ride vehicles are more or less copies of the vehicles used in WDW and DL. Those being in the US, they are made to accomodate "fluffy" guests (read that term once in a thread like this, thought the word was cute!!) The ONLY ride that has a weight limit is the (scary) Orange Stinger at Disney's California Adventure, and thank God they don't have a copy of that in Paris (yet)

You should be OK on all the rides!!

Hi small,

Being rather tall and erm, not big boned, I am not quite in the same category. However we do have a picture of me squeezing into the Orbitron cars with 2 youngsters between my legs. It definitely would have been easier with only 1 child, however I would describe that ride as being fairly narrow, so please look before queuing.

Hi

I totally understand how you feel. I am large after having my twins and having problems losing the big belly they left behind. I had no problems in USA, but they did have mixed seats i.e normal seats and larger seats. I remember in Universal for Hulk and Duelling Dragons they said I would need this certain seat. I am on a starting a strict diet so I will be big for DLP but hopefully my elephant belly would of gone so I would not feel embarrased being on that seat for just being fat.

All the WDW I was fine. Hopefully Rock N Rollercoaster would be ok. I think this might be the only issue.

DF & I are by no means small and we have never had a problem with the seat/restrains at DLP, I am sure you will be fine

the only ride i could think of that would be a problem is Orbitron. the spaceships are ridiculously small!
