(We have been three times the second week of December)

The rides and water parks are open but the weather fluctuates so much that you may not want to ride. SM does not soak you so we have never had to skip it and have never gotten that cold doing it. On the other hand, it has never been warm enough to ride KRR since we knew we would get soaked and we knew we would regret it later. It has also never been warm enough that we wanted to go to a water park.

So yes, they are all open but whether you want to ride depends on your cold tolerance. There were people there who seemed to like being wet on the cold days but I don't like carrying a change of clothes to the park and if it isn't warm enough for me to "air dry" I wuss out.

Thank you. That makes me very happy. Well probobly skip the waterparks anyway but Splas Mountain is my favorite ride.

Rides...yes. Waterparks...no.
To respectfully correct this post: one water park will always be open. BB closes in October and reopens in mid-late December, then when BB opens, TL closes until February.

You can always use a plastic dollar store poncho on Splash and Kali if you don't want to walk around in wet clothes. I usually find them 2 to a pack for $1 at the Dollar Tree.

That's good to know. :thumbsup2 I just thought I remembered them both being closed when we normally go for T'giving. Thanks for clearing that up! (Is it obvious that we don't do the water parks? )

Last year, 2nd week of Dec., don't think it ever got above low 60's & we wore our winter coats & gloves @ night...brrr.

We ventured into the nicely heated pool one afternoon but, no way was I going to tromp around wet. We always get wet on Splash mt (especially our seats & shoes - even w/ponchos) fun when it's 80, not when it's 60, IMO.

Perhaps if you do it last?
