We are going next week and I've been so busy that I haven't been able to focus on park touring yet. We have only been to Universal once before and it was so long ago that I really don't remember much.

My 79 year old Mom will be joining us. She doesn't really like thrill rides. When we go to WDW she will sit out rides that are coaster like. She does do Star Tours and is OK with that type of motion. So what rides will she be able to go on in each park? I'm starting to worry that there won't be much for her and she will be bored.

I always ride the rides in the Suess Landing area. They are all gentle. And ET is gentle if she can climb on a bike.

Islands...
Hogwarts express, everything in Suess area, shows in lost continent

Maybe Spider-Man, storm force

Studios...
Shrek, minions, hogwarts express, disaster, Men in black, et, lots of shows

Maybe Gringotts

Studios- Men in black, ET, Shrek ,Despicable Me, Twister, Disaster,Terminator,Horror Makeup Show, Animal Actor show, Blues Brothers, Hogwarts express, Tales of the beedle Bard ,Maybe Simpsons and Transformers

IOA-Seuss Landing rides, Storm Force acceletron ( like Tea cups), Maybe Spiderman,If she is ok with water rides/drops then Jurassic Park, Dudley Do right and Popeye

Thank you so much. This is very helpful. When I was looking at the website it seemed that there was going to be much more to do at Studios. I do think we will be spending more time there.

Definitely more for her to do at the Studios, especially shows. Less distance walking, more benches and things to see and watch when "sitting out". I would do Studios first, and move on to IOA if all goes well.

In order of recommendation:

Stage shows
Show attractions - Shrek, Despicable Me, Terminantor, Twister
Gentle attractions - ET, Disaster, Hogwarts Express
General attractions - Simpsons, MIB
Not Recommended - Transformers, Mummy

in IOA - all of Seuss (Train Ride is very pleasant!), Spiderman, Storm Force, walk-thru Hogwarts but definitely not the ride!

I would be wary of Dudley Do-Right. It is hard with sore knees to get in and out of the ride. Also, I think that Simpsons is much more nausea inducing than Star Wars is.
