Rides/attractions you could do without

I have to add to my list....

I agree with whoever said Primevil (sp?) whirl in AK. I went on that for the first time this past March and I just didn't like it. It *could* be a fun ride, but spinning around over and over again with no end to the spinning, is not fun in my opinion. :crazy2:

I'm posting this again because I think people missed it on the 2nd page...I'd like to hear some opinions. :)

Why do so many seem to dislike Stitch? Did you like it when it was Alien Encounter? I loved AE when I first went on it...probably me and my brothers fav ride! I still have my Skippy stuffed animal! I just went on it updated with Stitch this June and thought it was cute! It's smart for Disney to make the rides around their popular characters that everyone relates too and the ride is kid-friendly now. I liked it and thought it was just like the beginning of the movie!

I love all the classic Disney rides! I feel close to Walt and know he contributed this and I feel like it's his. They are very special! :goodvibes

Stitch, Ariel's Grotto (waste of space), Backlot Tour, Kali (a really weak effort against Popei And Bluto's Barges at IOA which is a wild ride), Alladin(cheesy, a dumbo clone), Winnie The Pooh, Spaceship Earth (They need to replace the guts with something modern and fun), Star Tours, Body Wars, Imagination, Tom Sawyer, River boat, Swiss Family Tree House.

They need to make more imaginative rides like EE, and TT. Not just thrilling, but rides that WOW! people. The first time I went on TT I thought the effects and ride were beyond anything I had been on ever. That's the feeling I want. No more rides based on Flash in the Pan movies. Enough already with the cheesy tie-ins.

The Indy Speedway needs to go, and soon. It doesn't fit into Tomorrowland, it smells bad with all the exhaust, and the wait for it is insanely long and hot. Needs to go...just before Stitch gets removed. :)

I'm hoping with the popularity of CARS, Indy Speedway will get a much needed renovation.

BLASPHEMOUS!!!!!!! :smooth: You don't even know the name of spaceship earth. Your wdw card has been revoked! ;) And living with the land gone? cmon' now! :sad2:

Agreed! How can anyone hate Spaceship Earth! No, it's not a thrill ride of course, but it's still entertaining and very Disney.

Now, the Mexico boat ride is another story...that thing needs an update BAD. I think Norway is hokey but charming. I like Maelstrom.

I'm a Star Wars fan, but Star Tours has seen its better days. That too needs a huge upgrade. There's SO MUCH that could be done with a Star Wars concept that would be REALLY cool and fun.

And there are several at MK that I skip...either because I don't have kids yet and have no use for them (Treehouse, small world, etc.) or because they're pretty lame (orbiter, stitch).

Magic Kingdom - Definately Stitch. I thought the original Alien Encounter ride was kind of stupid. With Stitch, it just has to be worse. Guess I will find out in a few days!

Upgrade the Indy Racers to a Cars attraction and do something to increase the capacity of the ride.

Epcot - They already removed Body Wars so I am pretty happy with it as it stands now :) Egads that ride was horrible.

MGM - Even though I have never seen it, the Power Rangers have got to go. There is only one galactic hero good enough for Disney :) Buzz!

Animal Kingdom - Gonna get trampled for this one, but I gotta say "It's Tough to Be a Bug". This one scares most kids, and some adults too (raises hand, so does DW) Keep the theatre and put a different show here, please!

I don't like the Stitch ride (even though I love Stitch) and I really didn't like AE (even though I loved the Alien movies). For me, I think it's the shoulder harnesses. They're completely unnecessary and the job could be accomplished with a seatbeat instead. I don't like being that confined on a non-moving ride. Now on a roller coster, bring on the shoulder harnesses!

Definately Mission Space for me, I thought I was going to die on that ride! Reading through other posts, I have seen quite a few rides that other people hate, that are my favorites. Guess that is why they have such variety, to try and please everyone. :goodvibes
