It's an indoor ride but Haunted Mansion is always better at night...the story of the ride takes place at night so it always just fits better to me.

Our faves are BTMRR, SDMT, Astro Orbiter. Funny, now that my kids are older, they won't sit on Dumbo during the day, but they like to go on it at night!

We've always been morning people and then back to the resort for swimming and dinner. This trip we are going to go for an evening. Are there any great kids rides that are just a lot more fun at night? Any rides that have great lights or anything like that? Thanks in advance for any answers!

I wouldn't say any are a whole different experience, but I do like some rides a little better at night. They include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Tomorrowland Speedway and Primeval Whirl.

Big Thunder is a lot more fun at night!

My favorite thing to do in MK at night is to ride People Mover! I love the way Tomorrowland looks lit up with all the neon at night. If your kids like AstroOrbiter at all, they'll probably love it even more at night.

Agreeing with the many above, Big Thunder is our absolute favorite night time attraction! MK as a whole is the best to experience at night for our family; the theming really comes alive. Other must do's for our family at night is Test Track, Everest, People Mover, and Dumbo.

I will add our family loves doing the indoor dark rides at night as well. I remember the first time I rode PP and Snow White at DL in the evening. I could see so much more detail in those rides because my eyes were adjusted to the darkness.

At our first Christmas party night, we got on Jungle Cruise just as twilight was sliding into night. With all the Xmas lights on the boats and attractions, we "cruised" into the coming holiday darkness. Totally great.

I also agree that Tower of Terror takes on a special feel at night too.

I really like Peter Pan and Pirates at night. Some thing about my eyes are already adjusted to the darkness, so I pick up on smaller details. Same goes for haunted mansion.
I agree that the park seems more magical at night.

I also like the railroad at night. Just getting to see the views of the park all lit up!

This isn't really an attraction, but I enjoy taking the boats from TTC to MK at dark. Seeing the castle off in the distance, and the Magic Kingdom reflecting in the water, all lit up is amazing.

Personally, every ride that isn't 100% indoors is better at night. The atmosphere is better at night. The weather is better at night. The ice cream is better at night. The pretzels are better at night. EVERY THING is better at night.

Get towards the front of Expedition Everest. When you apex before going backwards, great view of Epcot lit up.
