A firend of mine mentioned to me that she thougth there were several rides/attractions that an infant could go on (i.e., ride on a parent's lap)...does anyone know of anything other than its a small world and the carousel that would be safe for a large 8mo??

Pretty much anything in Fantasy Land - Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo etc.

You can take your child on every attraction in WDW that doesn't have a height restriction. That's pretty much everything in WDW except about 9 or so attractions and you can do Rider Swap on all of those.

I was watching something on the travel channel this morning about all the different attraction and i noticed on a few of them there were two seater cars that you sit in like for the Living Seas with Nemo. Our son will be 2 when we get to Disney, will he be able to sit in the middle of us,so we can experince together or on my lap? Or will we have to ride it twice so we both get a chance to experience it with him?

Thanks in advance!

I heard that the seat is big enough for two average size adults and one toddler to sit in the middle....

You can probably search for ride photos on google to see how big the seats are

Many of the attractions you can go 3 together and I have found with little ones it's always best to have them on your lap whenever possible as they get a better view of everything :)

I take my babes (dd #3 will be 8 mons this next trip) on most everything without a height restriction. Yes even Pirates and Haunted, gotta train em young! :)

On Nemo i rmeember one time we even did 4, me my DH and our two little ones (1.5 and 3.5 ) at the time.

I most always will put the babe and sometimes even the 3 year old on my lap for a better view.

I saw a woman boarding Toy Story Mania with an infant in a front carrier. I have to admit, I was surprised but the CMs didn't seem to be concerned. I'm pretty sure there is a lapbar of sorts, so I was afraid the baby could get hurt as the Mom was busy shooting! Baby was fine upon exiting! The infant had to be 4-6 months.

My son who was 9 months went on everything except Space mountain and thundermountain, and splash mountain at MK. He loved specifically the haunted mansion. :)

Little babies are easy. It's BIG ones like me that take some coaxing;)

This is a link to the DIS site's height calculator page.
If you put 0 in as the height, you will get a list of all attractions with the height requirement for all. You will be able to take your infant on any of the ones listed with 0 as the requirement. As you can see, there are a lot that are fine for infants.

Took DS on many rides as an infant (Nemo, Spaceship earth, Great movie ride) Like others said anything without a height restriction. This past trip when DS was 2 in most cars we could fit 3 across no problem.

DS, now 18months, was nine weeks @ DLR last year. I just put him in his sling and he rode everything w/ us. Nothing to it :thumbsup2 . (It's this year I am more concerned about..... now that he has an opinion and attitude :rotfl2: )

There are so many rides that a little one can go on. Buzz Lightyear, Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Dumbo, Aladdin, Carousel, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, Tea Cups, Small World, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, the list goes on and on..My son loved all of them, even at 9 months he loved them!
