Can I keep my DSLR with me on rides at US and IOA? I have pretty $$ lenses and I don't like the idea of keeping them off me and in some public 'storage'.

How do other people handle this?

There are many rides that don't allow you to have loose articles. You either need to use a locker, have a designated "bag holder person", or just leave your expensive camera at home.

I guess I'm mostly concerned about HP forbidden journey. Any comment on that?

You definitely cannot bring it on FJ. My suggestion is (hoping you have more than 1 person in your party) to go through the normal line and take as many pictures as you want. Then one person exits the ride without riding to hold the camera. After the others have finished riding, the camera holder uses the single rider line and rides while the rest of the party waits outside and holds the camera.
