Rides and a ventilator

We will be at WDW the week of Thanksgiving. It is not our first trip with our disabled dd, but it will be the first since she became ventilator dependent. She is 5 years old, and her wheelchair is set up to carry her vent and oxygen tank. I was wondering if on the rides that can accommodate her chair, it would be a problem to have that equipment "on board." If not, there will still be plenty for us to do, but it would be awesome if she would still be able to do things like the flying carpets, pooh, etc.

I don't have the answer, but I couldn't read and ignore. I hope you are buried in pixie dust on your trip, and that your DD never stops smiling!

You should be able to do any ride that accommodates a wheelchair. Our vents really don't add extra bulk to the chairs.

Agree with pp. There is someone that posts here that also has a vent, hopefully she will see this and respond. I don't see why that would be an issue, but don't want to give you incorrect info.

edited to add - responded before I saw Alizesmom response, looks like she will be fine to go on those rides!

Buzz Lightyear, Little Mermaid, Jungle Cruise, It's a Small World, Pooh, maybe Magic Carpets depending on how much clearance there is under her chair, Carousel of Progress, Hall of Presidents, Country Bear Jamboree and all the other shows, Toy Story Mania, Backlot Tour, Great Movie Ride, Mexico boat ride, boat ride in the Land, Kilimanjaro Safari, and again depending on the chair the flying dinosaurs.

That's all I could think of off the top of my head

Just a note on Pooh...you have the option to turn the "bouncing" feature of the car on or off. Not sure what would be best for your situation but wanted to let you know it was an option. Also, my DD has found that loading on Pooh is a bit like parallel parking. Pooh loads from the side and if DD wheels on front first, we end up having to pick up the back of her chair to get her into place. So what she does instead is backs on and then turns 90 degrees. It may not be a problem if your DD's chair is small but just wanted to throw that out there.

Wendy....never thought I'd find someone on here that I know in real life! It looks like others answered your question though So happy you guys are going to make it to Disney! We're going for Christmas, hoping for it to make up for C's missed trip spent at Arnold Palmer Children's almost 5 yrs ago!
