Depends on when they run Wishes.

Unlike at Epcot, where most of the year IllumiNations runs at 9PM at park closing time,
Wishes at MK can be scheduled at many different times.

It depends on how much time there is between Wishes and park closing. Rides will stay open until the park closes.

Really depends. Some nights wishes is at 10pm and park closes at midnight (and might have EMH until 2am) and other nights wishes is the last thing that happens or it is at 9 and park closes at 10.

I am assuming the park will close at midnight with wishes being at 10:00pm on our MK day. What area of the park would be best to hit after Wishes in this case? I was thinking about heading to Tomorrow land and fitting in the Space ride.

After wishes I typically hit up either adventureland or fantasyland. The "mountains" will be busy with the older groups (teen on up) so we save the "kiddie" rides for after the fireworks when most kids go back to their hotel. Can usually get a few spins on Dumbo, a ride on The Little Mermaid, or pirates or jungle cruise.

We were at the MK last night. We arrived at 8pm. Crowds were light. Everything except for PP and SDMT was pretty much a walk on. Wishes was at 10pm. The park closed at 11pm. Space Mountain was a complete walk on before and during Wishes. After Wishes, some people headed to Space Mountain and the time bumped up to 20 minutes. Buzz stayed a complete walk on after Wishes.

It really just depends on the weather and crowds.

Last Wednesday, we got on 7 dwarves mine train 3 times after 10 o'clock wishes and 11:00 park close. (1 was a FP+)

In May we rode BTM twice after wishes when it was at 10 and park closed at 11. Could have tried one more ride but opted for shopping and snacks on our walk out.

leaning towards doing Haunted Mansion after the fireworks and Space Mountain when we come back from the Luau at the Poly. I think HM is a great ride to do at night. Guess I will just have to check rides wait times on my phone when it comes time. How long does wishes last?

When is your trip? That changes a lot of things. This week is one of the lowest crowd wise as was last week due to kids being back in school.

I agree with the poster that suggested starting at Adventureland. If there's enough time, I make one final loop around the park finishing up in Tomorrowland. On the last trip,I went a little bit quicker and finished up by backtracking back into Fantasyland for SDMT and PP.

We will be going the second week of May in hopes that most kids will still be in school or have graduation parties to attend. Worked well for us when we went around the same time in 2014.

Splash Mtn still had a long wait (45 minutes) when we went after Wishes in July, and I think it really was that long, seemed like it. Other rides would be shorter though, we also went on small world after that which took no time at all
