This is yet another situation in with the wdw website is completely incorrect. The second rider is allowed to bring to other people with them.EDIT: After reading the official rules, the second rider can bring only one guest with them.

The greater question is just how hard is it to go in and make the website match what is on their own darn tickets? Things like this make me want to scream sometimes. It's really absurd that it doesn't matchSee, that's what I thought, but I wasn't sure so I looked. I know those things can be inconsistent. Thanks for the correct info.
Unless something has changed recently they are good for even longer than that day. Someone else will hopefully recall how long they are valid for, I'm thinking it's a week but I may be off on that. The process is you tell the person at the queue you are rider swapping, they will give you a lanyard to take into the Fasspass line. (those not riding wait outside). You give this lanyard to the next cast member you see (usually right before entering the boarding area- they then give you a printed pass ticket.
The ticket itself says up to three admitted for the ride, pretty sure up to the end of the day. The next party then gives that ticket to the cast member at the entrance upon which they can enter (no need to scan any more magic bands) So if you have two kids big enough for the ride, they can ride again, assuming they went with "Dad" first, and now they want to accompany "Mom".
This past trip, it was just my son (9) and daughter (3) with, along with my wife, so my son got to ride everything twice which my daughter was too small for (which he of course loved.), but in theory we probably could have brought anyone else along and they would get in, because of the "up to 3 guests admitted" indicated on the ticket.

They print them monthly. So if you're swapping on the 1st, you get a month to use it. If you're swapping on the 31st, it's only good for the day.Unless something has changed recently they are good for even longer than that day. We have 3 kids. Only the youngest is too short for RnRC. Should we then make FP+ for 1 adult and 2 kids for RnRC, and FP+ for other adult and little one for Toy Story for about the same time, and then, at some other time, other adult can take 2 older kids on RnRC again?
thanksYes.
