Rider Swap w/ kids?

We are headed to DLP in 10 days!! EEEKKK!!!

This will be my 1st trip with my husband and my son (who is 5 1/2) and I have never done the 'rider swap' option - I was wondering if I could get some info about it from you guys?

Is there a 'special' area for this or do we all 3 stand in line for a ride and then my hubs goes, I wait with son, hubs gets off, I pass CJ over, and then I go? or do I have to wait in the full line all over again for us to both get turns? We really wanna ride the 'big' rides, but not if it means 2 hrs total wait time for us both to get through, ya know? TIA!

Whoever goes first just gets in line and when you reach the attendant just ask for a ride swap pass. After the ride, you take the ticket and go to the "fast pass" line. No need to wait in the long line again.
