My husband and I will be visiting in April for our baby's first trip. Baby will be 7 months old at the time. My in-laws will be coming for part of the trip, but the first few days will just be me, husband, and baby.

I'm trying to figure out rider swap. Am I correct in thinking that we won't need to utilize rider swap if both my husband and I have FP for something? For example, if we have FP for ToT...he will go first using FP and then we'll switch and I'll use my FP - no need for rider swap since there's no one else to ride with us?

What about riding standby at rope drop when lines are shorter? In MK we usually like to head to BTMR first and ride standby when there's virtually no wait. I'm guessing it wouldn't be worth it to get rider switch when the wait time is only 5 minutes or so?

Any input is appreciated!

If you both have FP, there is no need for it. But the CM can extend the second person’s FP window if it looks like the first person won’t make it back out in time.

I would still use FP at rope drop. Who knows what the line will be like once the first person is done.
