Rider swap question

When doing rider swap, can the other adult go on a different ride while waiting?

For example, let's say I want to take my two oldest children on Soarin. We check in with the whole group, and my husband waits with the younger two kids. Can he then leave and go on the Nemo ride with the two little ones? I was under the impression we could do that but I read this on Disney's website:

2. Once at the attraction, approach the greeting Cast Member with your entire party. At least one adult member of your party and the Guests who are not riding will be given a Ride Switch pass and asked to wait in a designated area (usually outside of the attraction). This group is “Party 2.”

Just curious as I'm doing my planning how to make it all work! My fastness planning is next week!

Yes. The rider switch pass is good usually until the end of the month, so you don't even have to get on immediately after the first adult rides.

yes you can do this just remember that most rides need to see the too little kids but after the CM see the kids that are two little you can do what ever the rider swap passes are good until the end of the month too.

Yes you can leave the attraction after obtaining the RS pass - we never stay! Take the younger kid(s) to another ride or show, ice cream, playground etc and then return to ride again later with just the people riding 2nd while the adult(s) that already rode do something else with the younger kid(s).
