Can the rider swap be used in a case where you have a wheelchair bound adult who should not be left alone?

We have FP for FEA and would like us all to have a chance to enjoy the ride but my mother is in a wheelchair and can't transfer. Would rather not leave her alone, parked outside the ride considering her needs.

I believe they may let you but if you have FP you could just split up when you do go remember you do have an hour with some leaway

yes but we would like to ride as a family of four - leaving Mom and her caregiver behind - but then, don't want to make the caregiver ride alone. We could send someone with the caregiver using Mom's unused FP but if we can do rider swap, I won't have to decide which of my children I love best.

We will call Rider swap plan A and if it doesn't work, we will go to plan B.

Thanks

since there is no hight requirement for FEA they may not even have rider swap passes to begin with

So you may have to decided what child gose with the caregiver if your mom dose get a FP you could just flip a coin, rock paper siso. So this way you do not have to chose and the child children that do not ride a second time get some ice cream.

The best you can do is ask. According to the website, Rider Swap should be available for any reason; however, in reality it is often only allowed for someone too short to ride and I have only seen it available at attractions with a height requirement.

Another option is to all wait through the line together, and at boarding explain that grandma is unable to transfer and allow her to use the "chicken exit." That way she won't be alone for long, just the length of the ride.

Enjoy your vacation!

My CM family members work attractions that do not have height requirements and they do not offer/allow child swap. It's just not an option at the multiple attractions they work. Guests either use FP or standby. They tell them no if they ask for child swap because everyone can ride. In this situation they would suggest 2 people wait with your mom and then they can ride together after the others get off. I know that is probably not the answer you want to hear. But I would be prepared to hear the child swap is not an option and have an alternative plan.

Update:

We went to FEA and did receive a rider swap pass due to my wheelchair bound mother not being able to ride.

We rode as a family, leaving Mom's caregiver behing and then let her caregiver and the kids ride. Sadly, on their ride, it broke down and they had to be walked off.

We did receive anytime FP for those who rode so we will give it another shot.

That is awesome that they were able to accommodate you. I just hope others reading that may be in a similar situation understand this may not always happen and especially at other attractions. But glad it worked out for you.
