Must someone enter the "regular, non-FP" line to get a child swap pass or can this also be done if you are returning with FPs in hand?

We have been able to use FP in conjunction with Rider Switch Passes. We typically will approach the CM at the non-FP line to ask for the RSP, then will back away and re-group to figure out who is going first and where the other parent/child will be. Then, the first riders will go to the FP line if they have FP. It really helped in cutting down the overall down-time for the under-height child.

That was what i was hoping to hear. I take it that the rider swap passes are only given out by CMs at the regular stand by entrance, not by the CMs at the fastpass return entrance, correct?

No, the CMs at the FP line can also give them out. However, some DIS-ers report that when they've asked the CM at the FP line for a RSP, that CM has made them show FP for the entire party before giving the RSP. That never happened to us, but I've read reports of it here on the DIS. So, I always advise asking the CM at the standby line.

Have always used FP in conjunction with Rider Switch. Never been asked to show fast passes.
