December crowd reports are starting to scare me, so I'm thinking of going high tech for our trip coming up in a couple of weeks and creating plans in either Ridemax or Touringplans.com. I was wondering if anyone has any insight into which one might be more useful. TIA!

Touring plans is free right now or it was a couple weeks ago. I would use both. For my recent trip I ran ridemax itenaries for both DCA and DL for all days and then looked at total wait time and ride time each day. Then developed a plan for which parks to see when...

I've used Ridemax for numerous trips and in my experience it tends to overestimate wait times. We have always gotten things done quicker than the what the Ridemax plan stated. It's a fantastic planning tool. I don't have any experience with touringplans.com, but their wait time predictions are quite a bit shorter than Ridemax's. We're making another trip to the parks this month so I'm planning on comparing the two to see how actual wait times compare to the estimates from these.
