RideMax Users Thread (FAQs Linked in First Post!)

I had lots of fun playing with ridemax before our trip and was anxious to try it out.

Unfortuantely, it did not work well for us and I wish I knew why - perhaps the parks were more crowded than expected.

Our first night there, ridemax told us to get fastpasses for Winnie but when we went to get them, they were all gone. Ridemax gave us a 7 minute wait time for HM but when we showed up according to the schedule, it was a 30 minute wait which really annoyed my DH as he had wanted to ride it when the wait was listed at 14 but I told him to wait until the scheduled time and we'd be better off. Boy, was I in the doghouse.

Just didn't work for us :confused3

What day were you there? I have not heard of it being so far "off" before on times.

I wrote an email asking when November will be up, hopefully we will hear something soon!

:)

Was it just Haunted Mansion and Winnie the Pooh or did you have problems at other rides as well on that day? You can always have a tour group of something go in ahead of you and throw that ride off but not all day all the rides. ??

Did you use Ridemax at any other parks during your stay?

:)

I'm sure someone has asked this question before but this thread is way to long to go through....

I bought Ridemax, but I can only use it for 2 days, can't use it for Sundays and then 2 of my days are EMH days. How are you compensating for EMH days AND are you using child swap?

We were there Friday, August 7. We entered the park at 7 PM and the first few attractions were fine. No tour groups that I noticed. Very odd. Wish I knew why as, like you, I never read about anyone having their times so far off before.

I see you can still enter your rides for August. 7th. put in your rides and your arrival time as 7:00pm and opening until 11:00 if you stayed until 11 and see what it shows you. You can print the schedule and email it to support and they will tell you something.

I actually did this on my May trip since I thought they had AK wrong since prim. fast passes and kali were not even open but he was right it told me to ride those first at opening and not use fast pass.

Since I do not know what all you had on your list I can't look at it. All I know is Pooh and Haunted. :)

If you like copy and past your schedule here for that day and I will look at it and see if I have any additional thoughts. :)

You can use it on a Sunday just pick a day that has comparable times and EMH opportunities. As far as EMH goes you can still do those days it just will not have you arriving until regualar opening time. Start your day from there. I believe EMH early is supported at MK by Ridemax.

:thumbsup2

For Sundays-- Choosing a Saturday at the same park usually works pretty well (just make sure there's nothing special going on at the park that day-- EMH, Fantasmic, etc.).

For Morning EMH-- Choose a non-emh day at the same park. Make a schedule from 9am-10am for the headliners that you want to ride during EMH (make sure you only choose EMH rides). You can use this schedule from 8am-9am. Then, go back to the actual date, and make a plan (omitting what you've already ridden) for 9am- however long you want to stay. Does that make sense?

I've got nothing for evening EMH, though-- sorry! --Katie

Ridemax email states November will not be published until approx. Sept. 15th. :confused3

:goodvibes

Thanks for checking on that Mom Poppins
I will do my best guess as to what days we will be where for ADR's and try to avoid EMH days as that is what RideMax seems to reccommend.

Thanks again,

I need help from all the Ridemax experts, please! I'm making our plans for our trip (in 9 days!), and I'm running into problems because we will be using Rider Swap a good bit. But sometimes it doesn't have us doing those rides until later, which will not give us much time to use the Swap Pass. For instance, I'm working on Epcot on 9/10. If I let Ridemax make the plan, we spend our first hour doing Spaceship Earth and Club Cool (we don't do TT and Soarin until much later in the day). I would much prefer to do Test Track and Soarin, because we'll need to Rider Swap both of those. I'd like to get that pass in hand, not have to use FP, and know that we can hit those for the other adults later, no problem. So my question is, do you think it's a mistake to go against what Ridemax says and just block out a chunk of time to do those first? And if I should do that, how long should I allow? If I run a plan for each ride for the first hour, it looks like the wait is 6-12 minutes for each at any point between 9-10 am. Can they really be so short? So would 55 minutes be enough time, starting the rest of our plan at 10? Help!!!

I think what you are doing blocking out time would work, but I do not think 55 minutes is enough time to do them both twice. Not only do you have the wait time but you have to figure in the riding time as well as the walking to the attraction. I can't remember if Ridemax can have you showing up on the 1/2 hour can you show up at 10:30?

What day are you looking for.. I tried 9 days from now on September 1st. and I got much different wait times .. I put all 4 times to ride in for 9-11 am... I don't see the short wait in the am? I know you will be using baby switch but I was just trying to get an idea of wait time.

Yes, we could show up anytime, since I'm putting that time in as a break right at the beginning. But we aren't planning to use the Rider Swap passes then, just have one set of adults go on each, get the swap passes for each, and then use the swap passes later in the day when it's more crowded. So if we do that, do you think 55 minutes is enough? We'd hit Soarin right away, then do TT, and then I guess if we had time we'd probably use the TT Swap pass right then. If not, Turtle Talk is next at 10:18 on our plan. What do you think? I'm using slow speed too, so we'd probably take less time than they are saying to get to Turtle Talk (16 minutes?)

Kind of related, but if we do that, is there anything cool near Soarin or TT for our 2 year old to do? We'd been planning on Living with the Land, but that's out. A playground area? Anything?

I think that will work fine.. with the wait times you posted.. mine says 26 minutes for test track at 9:12 am... what day are you actually going to Epcot?

I'm doing 9/10. To figure out wait times, I just put Soarin in 3 times and ran a plan from 9-10 am. Each ride's wait was 10 minutes, without a FP. For TT, I did the same thing, same times. Each ride's wait was either 6, 8, or 10 minutes, without FP. So I figured on 25 minutes for Soarin, and 25 minutes for TT, plus walking time.

Shoot, I wonder if I'm not doing this right?

You could ride Figment while they are on Soarin it's right next door! and there is play type area at the exit.

Yes the 10th. has much shorter wait times!!!!! You are doing it right

It looks like you will be just fine with the 55 minutes you wanted. Starting your plan at 10 am and doing these 2 rides and saving the rider switch for later in the day!

Thanks so much for your help! It seems wrong to go against what Ridemax wants us to do, but I can't stand spending some of that quiet hour from 9-10 doing Club Cool. That just seems wrong to me! We'll see how it goes...
