RideMax Users Thread (FAQs Linked in First Post!)

Congrats on your first trip... how exciting!! You will love it and love Ridemax too.

We did two days of MK on our most recent trip with kids. We did just what you are suggesting, we scheduled Fantasyland, toontown and tommorrowland the first day, which allowed for a nice break. The second day we did the rest of the park. There was downtime in each day so you can hit favorites again and get a break in. It worked really well and I would do the same thing again!

thanks for the tips.

I knew about the need to be at Dumbo early, but I had no idea that the Speedway was one of those kinds of rides, too. My son will def. want to ride in the race car with his Dad, so that is a particularly helpful suggestion!

thanks everyone! I'll let you know how it works out.

I got this email from Ridemax that addresses using this program on different computers.

Yes, RideMax is software that you download onto your computer, rather than just a web-based program. Please note however that RideMax does require an internet connection each time you use the software, so if you wish to use RideMax on a laptop during your vacation you will need internet access from your hotel. Our license allows you to install RideMax on two computers, as long as you or the immediate members of your household are the only persons using the program. Just use the same download instructions for both machines. (You receive these via email when you order.)

I noticed yesterday that the park hours have changed (some longer, some shorter) and more spectro's, fantasmics etc have been added during the 1st week of free dining. How long does it usually take Ridemax to update their data? Obviously now I will have to completely re run all my daily plans.

RM does try to keep their info current and they make regular updates, so it shouldn't be long. I'll be arriving at the World next Sunday, and I just ran my daily plans today to try and avoid this problem. But I'm glad they do update it, even up to the date of arrival, so it's more likely to help us out!

If RideMax has not updated the hours in the next day or so, just send them a short message and they'll repond quickly. I think they too have a hard time keeping up with hour changes.

I'm a type A that LOVES RideMax! Can hardly wait to sign up again before our next trip.

Last year I took all the RideMax touring plans, put them into my own table, added maps with locations marked, and had the whole thing bound into a travel book! It worked awesome and we NEVER waited longer than the plan said.

Same! I using ridemax and never had a problem except 1 time this past trip at DHS. We arrived at park opening and the first step was to FP TMS and then ride Rockin roller coaster with a 7 minute wait. We got our fastpasses and arrived at the coaster at 9:05am to a 80 minute wait. The whole ride queue was filled with several tour groups. We opted for the single riders line, hopped right onto the ride with less than a 7 minute wait and still got to sit next to each other : )

If I am leaving on Sept 19 when should I purchase Ridemax? I am very anxious to try the program out. Was thinking of purchasing on Sept. 1. Opinions on when I should purchase? Thanks!

You can go ahead and purchase it now - even if you only choose the 90 day option, you will have the program available until early November.

HI, sorry if this question is a repeat.

We leave WEDNESDAY for Disney. We're planning to be at Epcot on Sunday for AM EMH. I realize that Ridemax doesn't do Sundays, so I was looking for another AM EMH to use instead.

The next 3 weeks are all on Sunday, and Ridemax doesn't have the late Aug/ early Sept. EMH into the computer yet.

Is there an obvious fix, or do I just sit tight and hope that it gets fixed today or tomorrow?

I thought the only EMH Ridemax supports is AM at Magic Kingdom?

I could be wrong though.

:)

We are arriving on Thanksgiving and staying til the next Fri or Sat (11/26-12/4 or 12/5). In-laws are only staying til Monday (11/30) I was going to avoid the parks the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving to avoid the crowds and waits (DH can't handle it). But I was wondering if RideMax would be worth it for these days.

Has anyone used it during Thanksgiving? Did it work well? Is it worth the money?

Downloaded RideMax for my Sept. trip and I'm enjoying it so far.

One thing I would like to do is get Kilimanjaro Safaris in the morning instead of the last thing we do at AK. Any suggestions?

In the first few pages of this thread people discuss this "problem" they say to schedule a break for the first 30- 40 min of your day in africa this way the plan starts you out at the back of the park...I am going to do the same since we will be eating at tusker house and then doing safari first thing. Or else you can start your park plan at 9:30 (safari is 20-25 min i think) haven't tried it yet, but people say this works out well.

Do you have to be on-line to use RideMax to update plans. If I do all of my prepwork before I leave, do I need to pay for internet access on vacation to alter my plans?
Thanks.

I'm waitig on November too. My 90 days is in 7 days so I was wondering if they would be up by then. Any thoughts?
