RideMax Users Thread (FAQs Linked in First Post!)

Can anyone tell me if Ride max offers plans that suggest having a fast pass runner like TGM? My DH never really goes to WDW with me and the kids so those touring plans that say send someone ahead for fast passes does not work for me. We normally go in September when the crowd levels are around 5 but I am taking the kids (again with out DH) the first week of June and the crowd levels have me a bit concerned. Do you think RM would help me with a plan to avoid the crowds and long lines?

Hi! Ridemax gives you the option of whether you want to have a fast pass runner or not. You do not have to have one. So I think Ridemax would work well for you since it will be you alone with the kids. I am using Ridemax for the first time next month and am making my plans without a runner. I am really pleased with the program so far. Give it a try and see what you think!! :flower3:

I will try it out! Thanks

Ridemax has the wrong park hours for our Animal Kingdom day. Any tips?

Email Mark and let him know. This way not only will your plan be correct, so will everyone else's that is going at the same time as you. Being human, I am sure that even he sometimes makes a mistake. Of course Disney hours are sometimes a moving target.

Looking at your trip ticker, you will be at WDW the same time as our family! Which day did you see the wrong AK hours? Just curious if I planned the same day and maybe missed that they had the wrong hours on Ridemax. Thanks!

I thought I had run into the same thing, but I finally realized that my AK day was a Sunday, and the day I used to plan it had different hours :rotfl:

does ridemax allow time for character meet and greets or have them in the plan, such as character connection at Epcot or the characters in the World Showcase? What about at Toontown, etc. Any answers would be great. Thinking about getting it for our July trip

No unfortunately the character connection is not an option with RM. You could however add it in as a scheduled break. I would make the plan first with out it then see where it might naturally fit in. I personally would do this from RD then start your plan 15-25 minutes later or if you could send a runner to Soarin for a FP will the rest of the group does CC.

As to the characters in WS, I prefer a block of time for WS rather then a plan. If there is particular entertainment that I want to see I note it on the entertainment schedule that you pick up and try to be in that pavilion for it.

I do recall that the Toontown meets were in RM but I am not 100% positive of this. If you are going to Pixie Hollow though it lists the opening of ToonTown at 10:00 am but they actually do the rope drop at 9:45 and the line with back up to an hour or more by the time that 10:00 rolls around causing many people to become frustrated or worse.

We're at WDW now and on our first trip. RideMax has been AWESOME!!! We haven't had to wait for more than about 10 minutes for anything, and we've been able to walk-on or use FP's for nearly everything. We just shake our heads at the poor people waiting in the long standby lines :sad2:. I'll update with a longer report once we get back, but I just had to come here and give RideMax a big :thumbsup2! Oh, and one thing we've been laughing about is that it's so funny to always be traveling AGAINST the crowds-- it seems like there is always a swarm of people coming towards us as we are heading the other direction! I guess that's how you zig when they zag ;)!--Katie

So glad to hear your trip is going well and RM is doing it's thing! It is a very cool feeling to know you're doing the OPPOSITE of what the crowd is doing, isn't it?
:thumbsup2

I just checked and it's already fixed!!

You will beat us by one day!! Where are you staying? I got the hours from Disney World's Website. Click on the "plan" tab then go to the park you are looking for and you can see a calendar of the hours. If you click on an individual day, you can see the entertainment schedule (Wishes, Fantasmic, ect.) Keep an eye on them because they often change last minute.

Hope you have a great trip.

I just subscribed today, and my dates are nowhere near up.

But I'm having a blast playing with it!!!

Now I'll have to go back and read this whole thread :)

I know what you mean, I subscribed for the entire year last year just because RM is so darn fun to play with. My kids would tease me all last year - while they played their video games, I played my RideMax.
:thumbsup2

I can't wait for my 90 days now!!!!!!!!!

Not only will it mean I can get ADRs, and Park hours - but I can play with RM finally!! EEEEeeee!

Hello all. I am a big ridemax fanatic and love it. I am using it for my July trip to the World. I just would like someones opinion. You see, On July 25th I disembark the DCL Ship. Then I will take DCL Transportation to Kidani Village, check-in, then take disney transportation to DHS, then go in, speak at guest relations and then go right over to Rock n Roller Coaster to fastpass it. What time do you think I will arrive at Rock n roller coaster to fastpass it? Then Immediatley after, I want to RUN over to TSMM for a standby ride. I'm trying to see what the wait will be for TSMM. Hopefully not like 90 mins. :scared1:

I have done this numerous times, but have never done this with DCL Bus transportation and/or Disney bus transportation in WDW.

Hi All,

I have surfed through all pages, but may have missed this....do you all/or anyone know when the July hours may be ready on RideMax. I have been playing with hours in June with same best day, but really can't wait to use our actuall touring dates! I will also re-run all plans just before we go.

Thanks!

Leslie

I saw this asked but don't remember seeing an answer for it... What happens if you ride a ride and then the next ride is not scheduled for say 20 minutes do you go ahead and ride and get keep getting ahead of your schedule or do you wait and find something else to do to stay on schedule minute to minute?

I'd like to try ridemax for my trip this July, but I have four teens in my family and, in the interest of having a great trip for everyone, I am agreeing to *not* get up early each day. I'm a 'morning person' myself, but the kids claim that it ruins their fun when I don't let them sleep in. Since we've been there before, I'm agreeable to seeing/doing less and letting them sleep in mornings and stay up late at night. So.....does anyone know if ridemax works well with a later start time? The website (along with every other book/website/etc. ever written) advises an early start, but this is my concession to family harmony! I'll gladly buy ridemax if anyone can assure me that it provides good plans regardless of later starts (I'm guessing 11am-1pm arrival times). Thanks!

I think ridemax would be perfect for you. It has shown me exactly how late I can get to a park before the lines really start changing the times on my plan. I make a plan and put in a late time for starting and if the line waits look to long I change by an hour to see when I can get there and still have manageable lines. In some instances though it has shown me what a difference being there earlier makes. It really is helpful in what you are seeking and will tell you exactly what the wait times are when you arrive later and if fast passes are still available.

I tried Epcot and tried for a 2:00 pm start and it would not let me get Fast passes for Test Track and Soarin it had to be one or the other.... and wait in line for the other... which i would not want to do so in this case we will just go into Epcot late on 2 diffrent days to be able to hit these 2 attractions but the benefit is we can sleep late and have resort time on these 2 mornings.

We will be there for 10 nights so we have the benefit of some shorter day at the parks without feeling like we are having to rope drop everyday. Which we did on our first trip in 2000, We stayed from rope drop until closing everyday but it was only a 5 night trip and everything was new and we had to try to see it all!
