RideMax Users Thread (FAQs Linked in First Post!)

Your plan starts at your first ride location. Normally it starts 5 minutes after the park opening.

Yes, but it's not necessary to trek all the way back to the park entrance. You can just pick up your RM plan after you get off your last EMH ride.

I am a little confussed about how to work Epcot. Everything I read (including TGM) says go to soarin 1st. Ridemax says to get a fast pass at 10:30. What would you do. We are going June 16th :confused3

Why do you need to be back at the entrance @ 0900? The park is already open to you as an EMH guest. Can't you just start hitting the attractions that open at regular time and are not open during EMH?

I figured I'd be close to the entrance anyway after riding Spaceship Earth. If I'm at the entrance (where Ridemax expects me to be) at park opening my plan should be more accurate with regard to walking time, etc.

Just an FYI for anyone else traveling at the end of April. The park hours for DHS have changed - they added a second F! show on the 29th and 30th, and the park is now open 'til 10:00. Ridemax still has it closing at 8:30. I emailed Mark about this, and knowing their excellent customer service, I'm sure I'll hear back soon. I'll let you know what he says.

They just added a second showing of F! on May 3rd and 7th, too. The park is open until 10:00pm then, too. :scared1: I'm guessing it's going to be more crowded that they initially thought. Let us know what Mark says about when the program will be updated. Thanks for the heads-up! --Katie

I'm trying to get our RideMax schedules done for our June trip but I am really struggling with morning EMH. I have us doing EMH in the morning at Epcot once and Hollywood Studios twice.

We don't particularly want to repeat a ride or an attraction until we have done everything we want to do at least once. I'm uncertain on what we will be able to accomplish during the EMH and therefore what I should exclude from the Ridemax portion of the plan. I would hate to leave something out thinking we can do it during the early EMH hour and then find out that we get stuck in a long line and can't do the things I though we would be able to do.

It also throws things off where the fastpasses are concerned. RideMax times them out but if I get them during the EMH in the morning that the 2 hour wait time is different for the rest of the day.

Also we are at the Beach Club so we will be entering Epcot from the back which means there probably will already be people in line at the front of the park by the time we talk there.

Can any one help? How are the rest of you dealing with EMH hours especially in the morning so it doesn't through off your plans for the rest of the day?

I bought yesterday and played around some last night. Some of my comments thus far: I have til June to figure this out so I'm not too worried at this point but I am curious that I keep getting "free time" for appx 60-90 minutes on all my MK attempts. I also realized that there isn't one day where we begin at rope drop in one park and then return that evening to the same park, lol. Some of that is set due to the days I could get ADRs and we want to eat at 5 Epcot restaurants in our 10 day trip. Obviously, we have hoppers and I really don't want to spend 5 full days in E. DHS has too many shows and I can't seem to fit them all in and I'm not even choosing Muppets, VoLM, or Playhouse Disney. Hmmm.

This is because some of the shows have limited schedules. LMA is only done twice a day.

I had this exact problem on our trip. We solved it with by doing B&TB, LMA & M3D on a day and Indy on a partial day. These were both from RD. We FP TSM, rode TSM, rode ToT and FP RnRC then saw B&TB 10:45 show. After the show we used our FPs and had lunch before going to the LMA show followed by M3D. We then caught the boat to EP for a 4:20 ADR at Le Cellier. On the other day, We started out exactly the same, but instead went to the 11:30 Indy show and went to EP for lunch.

As to Little Mermaid, we did that on an EMH night while we were waiting for our RnRC FP to ripen. In the future we will skip this show, Muppets too for that matter.

OK. How can I get the safari ride for the morning? I keep getting it around 5-6pm.

Put in a break in Africa for 35 minutes at park opening. This is assuming that you will be there for rope drop. YOU WILL BE THERE FOR ROPE DROP, RIGHT

I'm not having an easy time coming up with an alternate day to use for our EPCOT morning (Sunday plan). As it turns out, the only day I could get an ADR at LeCellier was Father's Day. Great for my dh, but between it being a Sunday and apparently also an am EMH at Epcot, it's not the best plan and no real RM equivalent. I have no mornings at EPCOT as we're having so many dinners there. If we don't do EMH on Father's day but still plan to be there by 9 or 9:30, will we get to ride or FP Soarin'? All the other days, we arrive after 4pm so we'll need to wait in huge lines as FPs are gone or skip Soarin' which is new to us. Yikes. Help?

I haven't stayed on Property for a several years but am doing it next time due to the free DDP. How far in advance does Disney post EMH? I'm sold on RM and will purchase it but it will be the same day as ADR reservations can be made. Since I don't want to delay too long on those (as the dining is more important to me than the rides), I'll need to work out a rough itinerary before I get RM and would love to know the park hours well in advance.

Looking for some insight on a message I'm getting......trying to schedule some evening rides in Epcot roughly between 6pm-9pm (June).....obviously not including headliners....when I put in four rides (UOE, SE, JII, HISTK) it tells me I don't have enough things to fill the time before my "break". Don't have any breaks scheduled?? When I shrink the time, at either end of the range (630pm-9pm or 600pm-830pm), it tells me my selections run over the allotted time? Played with times and number of events but can't seem to get past these two messages? Anybody else seen this?

I have had a similiar problem with an evening at DHS. If you email Mark (just click the email link on the bottom of your RideMax plan), he can help you work through it. He offered to help me out, but I've decided that we're just going to see one show (Playhouse Disney) that evening and "wing-it" until we have to go to F!.

Also, Mark PMed me about my Rider Swap question. For anyone who wants to use rider swap, he suggests that the first group who rides should ride it at the time listed on the plan, and then you should save your rider swap tickets to use later (like in your "free time"). That will work great for us-- I had no idea that we could "save" the rider swap passes, so that's great news! --Katie

We also are going to be in Epcot all day on Father's Day. I too have been struggling on how to get the plans to work for that day in RideMax. We are planning on going in for the early EMH and I'm not sure how much I will be able to get done during the early extra hour.

I was going to use the RideMax date for Saturday (June 20th) for the plans but that still doesn't help me with what to exclude under the assumption that we will be able to do it during the early EMH. Plus the early EMH also through off the fast pass pickups for the rest of the day on the Ride Max Plans.

If you figure out something that works please let me know.

In the experience of the users posting here, how accurate have the wait predictions been using RideMax? I bought it yesterday, compared it to my original itinerary combining TGM with UOG, and tweaked a few things based on thier wait predictions. Just wondering how accurate they are. I'm using it for my first peak season trip ever (8's and 9's), just want to get all the help I can so we're not basically riding only those rides that we can FP.

Thanks!

I found the wait times to be scary accurate. There was one ride that I thought was going to trip it up as RM said 15 minutes but the sign board said 30 minutes. We got in line and loaded into the ride vehicle 15 minutes later. As I said, scary accurate.

I have heard that during the crazy week before Easter that some things went out the window. I don't however know how early they made there final plans. I suggest playing with it and saving the plans you like to PDF then running your final plans shortly before you depart. This way if there are any changes to the expected waits, you will have the best information.

Just to let people know - the end of April schedule now includes the late F! shows at DHS. Haven't tried out May yet. HTH
