I was going to go it alone planning my DLR attack but once I hit the 30 day mark, I admit, I am panicked!!

I am contemplating using RideMax because it may be really crowded for Spring Break....

Unfortunately, I am only spending 2 days in Anaheim. They are weekdays which should help a little. I am planning to park hop, is RideMax going to help me? I have read and re-read Hydro's tips and am still figuring out how to do it all and not go crazy jumping around. On top of all this uncertainty, I have 3 nephews and their girlfriends who may or not be coming...my continual probing is getting me nowhere with them. I am getting frustrated... I digress, sorry!

The big question: Is it feasible to use RideMax or is a waste of money for such a short trip with park hopping?

Thanks for any insight on this!!!

I just bought RideMax for DL over Spring Break. This will be a trial run - but so far it has answered a lot of questions. I'm a WDW veteran so I know the wait times, what the best strategies are, etc. for those parks.

I am so glad I got this for my trip. I have a general idea of what the wait times will look like and when I can get the shows in. However, it takes some time to get the hang of - you need to run multiple plans for one day if you plan to park hop, you can only schedule two breaks in a time period and the shows are not loaded into the program. So it does have some downfalls.

Overall though I think it was worth the $17 - I'll know for sure in a few weeks:banana:

Thanks! I thought I read that the new version includes the show times. Maybe that was only for WDW? So if I understand, in order to park hop, you plug it in to look like a break? Do you feel that you can rely on this pretty well then or are you still going to tweak it some more based on tips from here?

I also have questions about ridemax...

Give it a try. It comes with a 30 day money back guarantee.

Thanks for the link! It's funny I literally read 25 pages of posts last night searching for information and it was right on this page all along....I think I will get it to see what it's all about.

I think ridemax is worth the cost. I recently went with my folks and we used ridemax...the best part is that now we generally know when to hit what rides!
Yes, different times of the year are different, but to a point some of the timing will always be about the same.

I say go for it if you have the extra cash!

If you can spare it, buy it - the fact you are only there for a couple of days means it will be more important to you, not less, becuase you will be able to pick the things you want to see, and have the time planned to see them.

I always fit the shows in on the day...leaving them to the afternoon generally. You will find that depending on the itinerary you run, there will be gaps in the schedule anyway.

I like his tips too! ;)

If you are an anal, detailed, over-obsessive planner, the RM is for you. ;) If you are like me (not over-obsessive - well maybe a little ;) ) and just like to have a feel for how things flow at the parks then RM can help.

Overall anyone who would like some extra help in figuring out how to tour DLR will likely find RM's $17 price to be worth when compared to other costs for the trip.

Well I just bit the bullet...there's goes my day :surfweb: I'm sure it's a bargain especially at $14.95!

Hydro--hello from a fellow Coloradoan. Next time you head west, just come pick me up on your way to the Land! I think I fall somewhere in between your description of anal vs. laidback. Thanks for all your many detailed sticky's on this board.

Thanks for all the replies!

Love ridemax have used it twice in the last two years during our summer trips and it worked wonderful!!
