Does ridemax take into account MM? Can you program it on days that you can take advantage of MM and days you can't?

The last time I used it there was a seperate section for MM that listed the order in which you should ride. I believe it does take into account the higher crowd ratio in the park when opening on a MM day, though. You can email feedback@ridemax.com for answers to this or other questions. I think you'll find they're very responsive and helpful.

Ridemax takes into account that MM exists. It will have you avoiding bottlenecks that might occur in Fantasyland & Tommorowland in the hour following MM (for example).

But you can't enter in & request a ride plan for the MM hour....only regular park hours.

What is it you want to accomplish during MM?.....lots of folks here would be able to offer an opinion. :)

Correct, I just got my Ridemax subscription and you cannot start the touring plan before park hours, they do give suggestions on what to hit and in what order. Unfortunately I can't yet get a plan for my trip as they have not published the hours for August yet.

I've been using Ridemax for a little over a year now and I would expect August to have similar data as late June. You could probably run a plan for the same day of the week in the last week of June to get a very good idea of what you'll be looking at for August. For example, for a Monday in August I would use June 29th in Ridemax for now to get an idea.

As for the OP's question, the information provided by others is accurate.

That is what I have done just to get an idea what it will look like until they have the hours for August. I'm surprised by the amount it says you can get done. I'm also suprised that later in the day some of the lines are that short. I am trying to pack all the best into one day at DL and DCA. Taking advantage of MM I hope to see Peter Pan, Alice, Pinochio, Mad Hatter, Buzz, Space, IJ, POC, HM, Splash & BTMRR at DL and Soarin', Monster inc, TOT, Animation, Maliboomer, Mulholland, CS & TSMM at DCA. So far it looks good even with a pool break. I hope it's as good as everyone says it is.

Thanks for the info. I was just wondering if it takes into account that on some days (MM days) that the park will already have thousands of people in it and to help you navigate through that.

thanks!

Don't forget Mr. Toad, Sox Fan. :thumbsup2

(& Storybookland if there's no line.....& Screamin' single rider & Griz Rapids....all are must do's for the one time DLR visitor/WDW vet. :hippie:)

RideMax is very very good....but be prepared to deviate (for a ride or two) if need be (especially if you're ahead of schedule)....& I wouldn't use their FP collection advice....I prefer HydroGuy's order (& incorporate it into the RideMax touring plan).

Princess Vija....Ridemax takes into account MM, Conventions, historical data.....all sorts of things that had me scratching my head....but it's pretty cool & imo pretty accurate.

Thanks! Another question... Does it help you plan for both parks in one day?
For example, lets say I want to do all of fantasy land, jungle cruise and HM / DCA's TSMM, Grizzly river run and TOT. Will it tell me how to do all of these in order incorporating park hopping?

Yes. It's a very flexible program. Let me give some examples: Let's say you are a very clever Disser and you want to go into DL early, say from 8-11 ;). You then pick out the rides you want, and voila, Ridemax gives you an order and the time you should be there. (Although it gives EXACT times, just following the order and being close to those times seems to work.)
Then, let's say you plan on heading over to DCA by 11:30 and leaving at 1:00 for lunch, a rest, and a swim...Ridemax will again let you choose the rides you want, then orders them for you and gives you an itenarary for that time. THEN, you can tell the program you'll return at 6:00 and stay until midnight, and again it will give you an itenary with your chosen rides.

Something to keep in mind: You can choose a slow or regular touring speed, and also note if you are willing to send a runner for fastpasses.

You can generate as many plans as you desire for your days. I used them a couple of ways, including a plan that took areas of the park instead of rides throughout the park (as we had someone with us that was rather out of physical shape.)

You can choose to ride something twice on the plan, but that is the one flaw Ridemax seems to have...if it thinks it's quicker to ride it twice in a row, it will have you riding it back to back.

It's a fun program and well worth the small price, IMO.

I can't wait to have fun with it! When do you think the August hours will be out so that I can play around with it?

I have no problem skipping Mr. Toad and we aren't fans of the water rides. I agree that intuitively the order of the fastpasses seemed odd to me. Thanks for the advice.

They can't load them into Ridemax until Disney posts the hours for those days and right now Disney seems to be posting hours about 5-6 weeks in advance. You probably won't see August loaded into Ridemax until early July. They might load the first week or two of August near the end of June.

White_Sox_Fan: I agree; don't use Ridemax's suggestion for FP collecting. This is the order I use:
Space Mtn: 8:05
Splash Mtn: 8:45-8:50
Roger Rabbit: 9:10
Indiana: 9:35-9:45
Thunder Mtn: 10:40-10:50
Thunder Mtn: 11:30-11:40
Space or Indiana: 12:20-12:30

Those times are pretty accurate too. You can usually collect one or two more FPs than Ridemax plans for.

So these are the times that you actually go and collect? Do you use them throughout the day, or do you save them and ride them all at night?

My plan is to be in the park for MM. I want to leave the park around 9:00AM to go to DCA. I want to collect two FP's before I go, I will return mid day to collect one more. I plan on getting FP's for Space Mtn, IJ & Splash Mtn. I figured we would ride BTMRR in the standby line. Which order would you collect these three FP's. I don't now which ones go faster, I was thinking Space Mtn first, then IJ on the way out and come back later (1:00 ish) to get Splash Mtn.

My plan in to grab a quick snack between parks then hit DCA until about 1:00 go back in later using the DCA FP's I collected, then back to DL to use the FP's, ride HM and watch the fireworks.

I very much agree with the above. :thumbsup2

& Princess Vija.....you collect them in the morning while you are touring & use them in the late afternoon / evening when DL is more crowded. :hippie:

A couple of random thoughts & experiences:

- I'm thinking that Splash & IJ are about even. Perhaps in the summer Splash is more popular.

- Roger Rabbit is disconnected so if your touring plan doesn't have you near toon town till the afternoon a FP can be collected then. (But if the line is 10 min. or less, i actually PREFER standby at RR....since the queue is so clever. :) But if summertime brings 20+ minute lines....get the FP.

- Big Thunder is a funny one. (& Jason's sequence above illustrates this). Twice our experience has been that even though Indy & SM FP return times (from in the afternoon) was late into the night, BTMRR would have a one hour return times & a one hour queues. :scared1:

One afternoon & early evening....DS & I would collect a BTMRR FP, ride a couple of other rides....return to BTMRR & ride....& pick up another FP...& repeat the sequence. Literally did this 4-5 times over 5 hours (note - BTMRR is DS 9's fave).:yay:

If it's a MM day then you can start with Space Mtn as your first FP. Be at the machine at 8:00am to collect that. Your next FP can be collected at 8:45. If it were me, I'd grab Splash Mtn at 8:45 and then hang out in Disneyland till 9:30 to grab IJ before heading to DCA (this can be accomplished if you're at the FP machine the moment you're able to get your next FP). If you're dead set on leaving DL at 9:00 then grab Splash at 8:45 and when you return to collect IJ at 1:00 you can go ride Splash in the heat of the day in case you get wet (this is why I always get Splash early so I don't get stuck with a return time of, say, 9:00pm). If you grab IJ at 1:00 your return time will be around 5:00.

Another thought is that, given the list of rides you provided, you may not need to waste a FP on Space if you only want to ride it once. If you're at the turnstiles at 6:30am then you could easily fit it into your MM hour by doing: Peter Pan -> Alice -> Mad Tea Party -> Pinnochio -> Space -> Buzz. Then you could grab a FP for IJ at 8:00 and ride IJ with almost no wait (if you're there ready for the rope drop at 8:00). Then you could do BTMRR, POC, grab Splash FP, HM, and be out of the park around 9:00-9:10ish. Personally, I love Space Mtn and would not be satisfied with just one ride.
