Ridemax anyone?

AbigailsMomSarah, my family has had good experience with RideMax. I would recommend it. We usually print the plans, then adapt them slightly to our dining plans and parades and shows we want to see. If you pay close attention to the bold printed items, it is very effective.

Good luck!!! :thumbsup2

Can't say enough good things about Ridemax. We used it last June during the POTC reopening...50,000+ people and we never waited more than 10 or 15 minutes for a ride ( other than POTC!). Usually we walked right on. It's amazing how accurate it was. We are headed there on the 16th and I need to get the program downloaded because we definitely want to do it again.

The only downside was it was difficult to make changes once you were there. I had it loaded on our laptop but we had limited internet access. Once you get the hang of it though you could almost make your own plan. By the third day my boys knew when and where to get the fast passes and what order to ride the rides. At one point we had 27 FPs between the four of us. We couldn't use them all so we left them on top of a trash can and someone picked them up! Surprise for them!!

When we have left over FP's, we go near the ride line and find people to give them to...it is fun to see how exctied people get. :goodvibes We save a couple each trip for scrapbooking too.

I highly recommend Ridemax! We used it in September and never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride, with most being around 5 minutes. I think we got in about 24 attractions and this was on a day that the park was only open from 10:00 - 8:00! The only exception to the short wait times was Peter Pan, which was our last ride before the park closed and everyone wanted to ride it so we waited about 25 minutes. It was well worth the money spent!

I think this is really the right way to think about it. Depending on the length of your subscription, RideMax DLR costsd like $20-25. It is a drop in the bucket compared to thousands of dollars spent for a multi-day visit. Even if it only helps you slightly, getting RideMax is really a no-brainer for most people.

But as I have said elsewhere, it is not for everyone and can be misused by overzealous Disney lovers to the point where it can be a downer for the group. RideMax is very upfront about all of this on their website. Their tech support is exceptional for such a low priced software.

I wish they had the parade, fireworks and other shows/events as part of the program. I scheduled them in as long breaks or made another plan as a seperate day for rides after fireworks.

Maybe a higher priced "ultimate" version with events/shows, dining locations, and other tips listed. Even a holiday version (with all of the special events like Reindeer Roundup, Small World lighting etc) would be great.

I have been succesful with Fastpass on my own .With the holiday crush on this trip wanted some extra "insurance" to make it a great trip for my family. Normally we would take it slow on this trip and enjoy the decorations and shows .. but BIL is coming with and he has never been to DL, gotta turn him into a Disney freak like us LOL!!

Used it and loved it last trip. It was fun to play with during the planning stages before we left. People made fun of me for having a RideMax schedule and I said we don't have to use it, but they end up liking having a clear plan instead of standing around saying, "what's now?". Never stood in a long line and we always ended up ahead of schedule, which was nice because we could relax and be spontaneous with a few character visits and unplanned attractions we couldn't stand the thought to just pass. Definitely planning to use it for our upcoming spring break trip.
