We are going to Disneyland for the first time next week and would like to go to Ridemakerz in DTD with DS (6 years). I have some questions for anyone who has done this.

What is the best time of day to go?
How much time do we need to set aside?

DS got a ride ;) this past December ~ we went mid afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, it didn't take long either ~ have fun :car:

My son LOVED going there last year. It was definitely not cheap. I seem to remember everything costing around $50. I believe the chassis he chose was around $25, but he added stuff on. He really wanted a car with working headlights.

If we ever went back, I would bring my own batteries (they were not included). I believe you need one 9-Volt for the remote, and two AA's for the car. DS is alseep, but I can ask him in the morning. After spending all that time picking out everything for his car, and then making it, we weren't going to tell him we couldn't buy batteries. He wanted to start driving it right then and there. And I don't think the batteries were cheap....I remember DH doing a double take at the employee after he told us how much they cost.

Like the previous poster, we went in the afternoon. We had visited the evening before and it was really crowded at night. Although they have since remodeled and made it bigger. Hope you guys have a great time!

Anytime is a good time to go in there and the staff moves fast. Last Thursday my 2 boys went in there and picked two cars starting at $25 bucks, not including accessories like the remote control option. The price of the different cars there vary and you can spend a fortune if you want to.My boys just got the standard car (Mustang) that had LED lights and sound. They both were upgraded with fancy wheels and tires and both with chrome hood scoops. Just doing that both cars came to 100 dollars and each came in it's own box. I could have went far more detailed and bought a ton more options and trust me, the sales staff wants you to buy more. Anyway I figured on their first trip to DL, they deserve something special. I hope I helped you.

Thank you for all of the great replies. We are very excited. We will definitely bring batteries and go in the afternoon. I was able to find a $10.00 off coupon on the Ridemakerz facebook page.

not sure about the best time. if it looks full inthe lobby it's probably not the best time. but i went last year with the smaller store. it is expensive... we paid slightly over 100.00 because the more you sat and looked at things the more options my son added on. I'm not a no mom though so yes i was suckered. if we do it again i know what i will allow and not allow.
