I'm looking for a pricing window for RIDEMAKERZ®.
Anyone with experiences there? Also wondering of an appropriate age range.
Thanks for any help!

It's expensive. A basic car is about $25 and basic RC $35, but then you add accesories and the price adds up quickly. All you really get is a simple car with fancy details. You may want to go in with a stated price limit.

If you can lay off the extra fancy parts the price is ok, as good as the price of a similiar car from Walmart or Target. Of course part of what you pay is for the fun of designing your own car and putting it together. The price can really add up and it's easy to hit $100.

If you are going soon it's in DTD, but in Carsland a new location will open up in Sarge's Surplus Shack. It will probably be busy at first and worth taking a peek in but better to do in DTD, and keep Carland for the rides.

Ages 4 and up, it can be fun for an adult that likes to tinker.

If you want a lot of details. You can build one on the site to see what the pricing is like.

Be sure to save your receipt from Ridemakerz,
We went last September, my boys spent $100 each of their bday money on the rc cars. They enjoyed making them but the cars are not good quality,
We weren't even in out room much that week for the boys to play with them, but of course just as we're getting ready to leave for the airport both cars won't work.
We returned to DLR for our December trip and returned the cars for a full refund. I called ahead and spoke with the manager and let him know that I'd be returning the cars.

A friend of mine warned me about the Ridemakerz cars..don't waste your money etc. but I thought we'd give it a try anyway.

Maybe you'll have better luck.

If we ever did it again I would only let the boys make a regular car, the rc motors just aren't made to last.

MY DS8 did Ridemakerz in Sept, and a basic truck with the remote control, and a few other upgrades cost $63. I found it to be pricey personally, but he really enjoyed the experience of "building" it himself. So long as you are aware of the costs that's the most important thing. Even a basic car can start costing alot of money when you factor in all the extras you child will want to add to it. FWIW my son never had problems with the RC on his. So once again it's a matter of personal preference.
