We spent Thursday, Friday & Saturday in both Universal parks.
On Saturday I was never so annoyed. Every wait time said 5 - 15 minutes, HA!!!
Each ride was no less then 40-45 minutes in line.
I have no issues with waiting that is part of being at a theme park BUT just tell me up front how long!!

I completely agree..MIB today said 5 minutes..we waited 35. I would have waited the 35 but I would have also liked to have know it was going to be 35. We also encountered that problem on 3 other rides as well.

Going on Friday, should we get the front of the line pass?
Unless you're going at a busy time, I would never purchase the Express Plus pass ahead of time. Wait and see how the lines are before purchasing.

Can you buy these at the park, I thought they were only available online. How much are they?

TIA

You can purchase Express Pass at both parks. They are sold at several stores and probably at guest services. Not sure exactly where since we stay on-site and don't have to worry about that.

You can purchase the EP's at either park and the price varies based on the anticipated crowd level for that day. The busier it is the more expensive the EP's are. Most of the main stores in the parks sell them...there are signs out front of the stores to let you know if that particular store sells them.

Here is the list of locations at both parks where the EP is sold:

Studios -
Guest Services
MIB Gear
Nickstuff
Universal Studios Store
Sahara Traders

IoA -
Guest Services
Jurassic Outfitters
Toon Extra
Marvel Alterniverse Store
Islands of Adventure Trading Company

NEVER buy Express. Go early and hit the parks before the crowds get there. This time of year the longest you'll wait will be on Saturday around 3-5 for Rockit. If you go during a busy time, give up the mouse and stay onsite at UO...makes for a much easier time at the parks.

If you go early or late, the wait times are short. We went over spring break and never waited more than 20 minutes. Between around 11:30am and 3pm it does get busy so we do shows and the fast-line rides, or get lunch. The mornings and late afternoons are quieter.

FOL is available in about every single store now in the parks.. But as stated don't buy unless the lines really justify it or avoid altogether by simply spending one night in there hotels and taking it for free..

The ride time time errors were poor last week (though we had hotel FOL so it was irellevent) but from what I could see not one line posted time matched the real line at all. Some lower, some higher.. There does seem to be an annoying couldnt care less attitude at Universal at the moment which seems to be spreading through a lot of departments. Its rather annoying for a park that still wants to consider itself a premium product...
