Ride Spoiler, Yay or Nay?

I watch some, just to understand what the ride is. I didn’t understand how FOP worked, so I watched that, but not the whole ride; I stopped after I understood what was happening. Same for Soarin’. My middle son hated the throwing around of Star Tours, so I look to see if it’s that kind of thing. Also, I get nervous on some types of rides (drops), so I google, and if it’s unclear, I watch a video, but NOT to “spoil” it.

I depends on what it is, but usually I will not watch a full video of any attraction that I am planning to ride at some point. I might check out a very short clip and some still photos, but I try to limit that.

I make both girls watch YouTube videos of all the proposed rides because I don't want upset or in the case of the 8 year old crying ladies. The 8 year old must have watched FoP at leat 100 times before we rode it and after we got there we had to ride it twice. She is afraid of heights but it thrilled her. We also watch videos because we bring one of her great aunts who is 65 and extremely Pooh shaped. Before this past trip we did it to find out if we could get her on a ride. It saves time and trouble.
