Ride Seating Question....

Since there will be an odd number of us (me, dh, & ds2), on some of the rides would we all 3 be able to sit together rather than trade out or someone ride alone? I was just looking at the Nemo ride at Epcot for instance....does anyone know if that ride will fit 3 in one car? Or if they let you fit 3? I know some are just 2 seaters, but some have sort of a bench seat and a single lap bar that goes all the way across...those are the one's I'm inquiring about.

You can ride three with a small child on IASW, POTC, Jungle Cruise, Mad Tea Party, Haunted Mansion (although it might be too scary), Star Tours, Soarin', Buzz, Test Track, Universe of Energy, Great Movie Ride, in the same carpet on Aladdin, Peter Pan, Snow White, Pooh, Figment, Safari, El Rio del Tiempo and hmm, that's all I can think of for now. Hope this helps...don't know about Nemo b/c I haven't ridden it yet.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for that!! I was starting to worry that only one of us at a time could enjoy riding with my son and seeing his little face light up. Seriously, this has brought tears to my eyes. I'm such a sap!

THANK YOU!!!!!!

Just back - pretty sure a two year old will fit with two adults on the Nemo ride - I am thinking there was a family that size on the ride behind us.

Well I have a 14yo and an 11yo and we all still sit together on HM. I'm not tiny either. So I would imagine if the clam mobiles are like HM you will be fine.

We rode Nemo last week - DH, me and DD 4 years and we all fit in 1 seat.

We easily fit 4, though one was a 2 month old - even on Haunted Mansion with no problems. Our other child had just turned 3. We're going back soon and the plan is to fit 4 once again on the rides that DD could go on. It was nice that only two fit across on Buzz Lightyear - as I got two shooters!

We're going with five in June, and I'm worrying about something a little bit different.

Nobody in my group wants to ride any ride with a stranger. We're wondering if they'll let us ride alone, or will they cram someone else in there with us.

Thanks so much for the input, you guys!! This is great to hear! I'M SO EXCITED!!! :cool1:

AmIthereYet - That is a good question. I was kind of wondering about that too. I guess if they stick someone on there with me/us, it won't be TOO bad since for the most part we will still all be riding together or close together.

I'll just feel sort of silly screaming through RRC of EE with a stranger beside me. I think it'll take some of the fun out of it.

I saw a lot of singles on roller coasters. I don't believe Disney makes you ride with strangers (except on Test Track, since the car holds 6 and Mission Space).

That's what I figured. This is the first time, out of all my trips, to go with an odd number of people.

I just know it'll be me or DH who'll have to do the "stranger ride", because I know our girls won't!

We'll have five in May - me, DH, DS7, DD4 & DD2. We were thinking of just splitting up - go 3 & 2. DD2 would probably do better on our lap anyway. If the ride involves a lap bar then we'll have to figure something else out.

Now I would assume that any ride that has a single rider line might have you istting w/ a stranger. They use the single riders to fill up the empty seats.

I guess DH, me, and my DD8 can do that, and let my DD16 and DD21 ride together.

Sometimes the easiest solutions are staring you right in the face and you can't see them! :rotfl:

I know I've heard them (I say "them" because I'm not sure if this was at WDW or not - although I think it was) ask if there was anyone riding alone.

Hey, I'm as friendly as the next person, but I like to make a fool out of myself in private. :teeth:
